it's common in the nba. unless it's a complete blowout, it's never a done deal. when you pick dog for high margin spread, most of the time you are really betting on the garbage time.

That's true getitin but the players on the court know the line and they can get the outcome the ticket writers need 80+% of the time just by the types of shots the trailing Dog is alowed to attempt. 101-81 with 4:35 left. Every shot by UTAH after that was a layup, largely uncontested. The GSW shots were forced long jumpers late in the shotclock. The Books likely needed UTAH & UNDER. 109 or more by GSW makes a UTAH AND UNDER result impossible to attain. When a team leads 101-81 with 4:35 left and scores only 5 points after it's likely there was some BULLSHIT going down.

Did the books manufacture Boston's comeback too?

i mean....if you think the backup scrub players in the NBA playoffs are rigging games for the "ticket writers"....you should stop gambling cold-turkey.

There are backdoor covers and hot/cold streaks to end NBA games every night of the season. You just don't pay attention b/c it's not the playoffs. I have seen plenty of teams go 0-13 FG last 5 min or go on a 20-4 run to close out a game and cover

Scott............I disagree with you. Scrubs are in for Golden St......it happens. There are teams that score 5 pts in 8 minute stretches. It happens ALL THE TIME!!!

All,

I never said it doesn't "happen." I agree. But it also can be manipulated to "happen" enough to tilt balances in the Book's favor.

Tell me some more stories about how the NBA isn't rigged. This time the starters stay in until 0.00 and up 13 with 5 seconds left Draymond Green chases down a Jazz player to put him on the line and ensure the cover is blown!

The foul was made in the backcourt. I couldnt believe Draymond fouled up 13 in the backcourt with 5 seconds to go in the game. really fishy

because Draymond Green is a "fucking idiot"? He really isn't very bright

He also signed an $ 82,000,000 contract, who's going to buy him? what's the price? How much did that person / syndicate wager on the game? where? Are all the casinos worldwide part of this?

Is there a NWO sort of thing in the gambling universe? Is Steve Kerr part of this and that's why he left Green in?

I'm listening my friend, I'd like to hear theories about how these games are fixed

does anyone have a video of the Green foul? I'd like to see it

of course 5 seconds is plenty of time to get an uncontested layup, but I'd like to see the foul

I said this to Scott before but he ignored it because conspiracies are more fun, but if you looked at the financials of the major casinos, it says what the profit is for sports betting.

And it is always in the 5-6% range of total money bet. This is what the house edge is if all bettors hit around 50% (it's 4.55% but you gotta factor in teasers/parlays which have worse win-rates)

If there was a massive conspiracy to rig games where 80% of the money was on one side, these companies wouldn't be making 5-6 cents for every dollar wagered. They would be making much more.

Also, the line was 13.5 for most people that bet the game I'm sure. Since it moved after George Hill was ruled out in the afternoon. Most people betting NBA 2nd rd games aren't doing so more than 5 hours before tip.

And I told you before Pats, games are not fixed beforehand. They are FIXED when the opportunity arises. And sometimes idiots like Green go overboard and make it obvious they are fixed to anyone with a pair of eyes. And if you don't think millions and millions of dollars changed hands on that foul just because the line CLOSED above 13 you are kidding yourself here. I actually had -11 (-115) which I got before Hill was scratched, and later put 3/4 of that on +14!

How many of these "coincidences" does it take for people to open their eyes?

Willie, it doesn't matter what Green "makes." He plays in a league full of criminals run by criminals, and last night it was his "turn" and lucky for him I ain't Lisa Fucking Salters. He ran from his side of the court, crossed the halfcourt line to chase and grab a Jazz player in the backcourt, up 13 with .05 left. Case Fucking Closed!

I wonder how many times this POS manipulated the ending of a game when he was at Michigan St?????

Yeah, so this should show up in the financial statements of the major casinos and their sportsbooks. Since millions more is flowing from bettor to bookie than is normal expectation.

The NBA makes 6 billion dollars a year in revenue man. If they were gonna rig it, it would be to put Bird/MJ/Kobe/LeBron in the finals because this increases viewership drastically. Not so Tony Soprano can buy another yacht.

Not only is your theory not really feasible, it's just thinking very small in the grand scheme of things. Bigger fish to fry if you were going to alter games.

How does it work? Like the call comes down that it is Green's turn in the final minute and to foul with 5 seconds left?

If that's true, I'm just gonna have to tip my hat. I can't even knock that hustle.

If the White House and other governments can't keep secrets and the NBA has kept that hush-hush this long then I think we gotta just say don't hate, congratulate.

I never said it was "hush hush" you did. As far as I'm concerned it's been obvious since a TNT mic picked up Nick Van Exel telling a Portland player that he was going to miss his free throw off glass before Portland rebounded that miss and went the length of the court to cover on a layup. The Lakers were -8 in Quadruple Revenge and in the process of shaving down a 20 point 4Q lead. Here is that game:
