As far as I'm concerned if they are illegal aliens...they are already criminal.

So the Obama administration thinks they should all go?

:aktion033 You go Obama.

Homeland secretary wants criminal aliens out of US

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says if you're a criminal and you're not entitled to be in the United States, she wants you out of the country....

Duly Noted, Ms Secretary

Sincerely

Illegal Aliens of America

What a refreshing change from the pro-open border GOP admin.

Bush, Johnny Sutton & Co. hated border patrol agents. Bush also did whatever his "papi chulo" Vicente Fox told him

If in fact this isn’t just lip service it will be a step in the right direction. The way things are going it’s only one step but it’s a start. :aktion033

Dave, unfortunately it will have about as much impact as the US Drug Czar pronouncing, "I want Americans to stop using illicit drugs!"

Not if they arrest and deport. Now I know you’re going to say they can’t arrest all 12K of them or they come across the border faster than we can ship them back blah, blah, blah. The point is if Napolitano isn’t blowing smoke up our collective asses, thus the term lip service, then maybe I just might see things in a different light. I want to believe that someone, anyone in Washington has the smallest clue. So far I haven’t seen anything change except BO’s address.

Change we can believe in. RAH RAH RAH :cripwalk:

They can't arrest and deport all 12 Million (or up to 20 million).

And they come across the border faster than we can ship them back.

d1g1t

Last year ICE arrested and deported about a quarter million illegal aliens. If we factor in how many entered during the same time period, we likely get a net of about half that.

At that pace, they should have the whole place cleaned up by the year 2120 (no joke)

SO, clearly they need more funding.

At least 10x and 20x would be better

The day you hear the DHS secretary and/or President Obama promoting such increased funding is the day you and I both can believe there may be a difference.

How many of the 15million illegal aliens - upon reading that the DHS Secretary wants them to "leave the country" - will jump on the next bus or plane out of the country?

I'm thinking it's a number smaller than 10

15 million?... Try about 40 million...We all know what needs to be done & it's all in the Immigration thread for those that wish to educate themselves & take action on this serious subject.

When I submitted that no change will come from the DHS Secretary making an announcement, "Illegal aliens should leave", you said Baloney.

I'll ask again, "Why will any of the millions of illegal aliens leave just because DHS Secretary tells them to leave?"

Until the US government commits to increasing funding on border control by at least 10x, all suggestions are pretty much just so much jacking off.

BTW, based on RR's beliefs that there are 40million illegal aliens and a fresh 2million entering yearly then we can know that the current pace of ICE arresting and deporting 250,000 a year will be pretty much like whizzing into the wind.

Thank goodness that within the next decade we'll see the formation of the NorthAmericanUnion. As more companies and businesses expand south of the current US border, there will be far less motivation for non-Americans to invade to the north.

I followed the anti-immigration thread for first ten pages or so and finally realized that none of the suggestions being pushed there were even coming close to seeing the light of real day in the US Congress or even at the state levels.

There's clearly not enough support in the USA to change current immigration policies or else we would see some change.

Cool

The next significant change in immigration policy will be the first such change in at least 20 years. Let us know when it happens
