Waiting for this line to come out. Have a feeling Miami will be catching anywhere for 17-20. If that is the case there will be a play on Miami. I think after last night's showing we will get a very favorable line. Fact of the matter is that Miami is much better than what they showed last evening, and UCLA didn't look as good as they have the past few years.
I have to believe that Miami's defense will be much better than last evening where they allowed Weber to shoot 53.7%. That was no where near the 42.9% they held opponents to last season. I also don't expect Michael Bramos to be containg to 2-11 shooting and 13 points. I expect Miami's experience to come into play against a talented, but young UCLA team. There is no question UCLA is extremely talented, and have IMO the best point guard in the country with Darren Collinson, but it will be interesting to see how they respond to a veteran team that can put some defensive pressure on them. I'm actually happy they way things turned out last night. You have to believe that Miami would be looking ahead to a possible showdown against the Bruins and simply overlooked a talented Weber team. By just escaping with a win against a team named Weber can only help getting a better # since their next opponent says has UCLA written across their jeresy's.
I'm really hoping this line is inflated as I think it will be. These are 2 disciplined offensive teams, that will grind it out on O, while making you work for every aspect. Asking UCLA to cover a large number against a veteran, disciplined team such as Miami will be asking too much. Bramos is a guy you can rely on to create his own shot and give you a basket when you really need one. That should help stay out of those prolonged scoring droughts that UCLA likes to put on you. Fact is I just don't see how this game gets in the 70's.
Hopefully the number is where I am expecting it so I can actually play on Miami and this whole write up goes for not. Will be back as soon as the number is posted (even though I may hold off as I expect it to rise closer to game time)
