Thursday: 2-2. -1.25
Overall: 45-38. -.55

after a solid start I gave back everything I was up so I am pretty much starting with a clean slate. Felt I have been on the right side for the most part, but just a couple bad breaks here , a couple tough losses there and i'm back to even. Just have to work harder and keep doing what I do and I am sure I will be back in positives where I should be. I can't believe it's only the first week of December. It feels as if it is mid January already. I already have 83 plays where years ago the action would just be starting. Anyways March is a long ways away so I expect plenty of peaks and valleys along the way (hopefully more peaks than valleys). ....anyways been working on Saturday's card since yesterday afternoon and have most the games I thought I may be interested in capped and ready to go. Just waiting for numbers right now, but will almost certainly be on

Wisconsin + any points
Michigan + points
Cincinatti
West Virginia
Evansville ?

As soon as lines are posted my plays will be up.

Being an upstate new york guy do you have an thoughts on Canisius +5.5 at Manhatten. Canisius has won its last two and Manhatten has lost its last two. These look like two even teams and I would not be shocked if Canisius found a way to win this game. Do you have any thoughts. Thanks again for the hard work. You have had some tough games and I think for the most part you have been on the right side even.

It just dipped to Wisky +4.5...was at 5. I think this line continues to drop.

Sure everyone going to disagree, but Michigan is a much improved team and is excellently coach. Catching almost double digits at home. His offense and defensive systems are so unique they flat out give other teams problems. Duke may be one step ahead since they already faced them, but Michigan was coming off a physical, emotional win the night before against UCLA and just didn't have much left in the tank. the last thing you want is playing a coach K team not ready to go. They played a pretty poor game and still hung within 15. I think the Michigan freshman have had a few more games to grow, and won't be as intimidated this time around. Novak stepped up and hit some big shots against the Terps the other night. They are going to need someone to step up and help Sims, and Manny Harris. Ann Arbor is going to be rocking for the Blue Devils tomorrow, and I think you are going to get a great effort from the Wolverines. Giving coach Belien double digits at home is too juicy to pass up. I was only expecting to get 6 points so I will gladly take the few extra ones

Kentucky -2

Even though it doesn't seem so recently, but it is hard to walk into Rupp and come out victorious. However I think Kentucky has it going in the right direction. They went to Vegas and took it to Kansas St, and West Virginia. Both were very good wins. Both teams get after it defensively so those wins prove to me that they can win games against strong defensive teams. With Jodie Meeks, and Patrick Patterson you have 2 legit stars, who can get it done from the inside and outside. The Canes will throw a lot of bodies at Patterson, but he is good enough to be able to control the paint for Kentucky. Gillepse teams always get after it on the defensive end as well. Since the VMI debacle, and UNC beating the Cats have picked it up on the defensive end. They proved against West Virginia they can win ugly by holding the Mountaineers to 43 points. I see this game being just like that. Both are physical teams. I also think they can rattle Mcklinton. He is a great offensive player, but at times he tends to get out of control and take some bad shots. The atmosphere Rupp Arena will have could have an influence on his play. I think Kentucky has right the ship so to speak after their early season struggles, and just don't see Miami coming in and giving them another loss on their home court.

Evansville -6

The tale of 2 teams. I love backing the Aces at home where they are very strong team . They already have solid home wins over Austin Peay, Oakland, and Buffalo. All those teams I believe are on the same level as Ball St if not better. The Aces shoot the ball extremely well at home. Shy Ely is a legit go to guy, and Jason Holsinger is a solid complimentary guard. Nate garner, James Haarsma, and Pieter van Tongrenen have all stepped up to give Evansville a balanced scoring attack. All 3 average more than 8 points a game. Their only loss on the season has come on the road against a very strong Butler team, but like I said the Aces are a totally different team at home. Teams that give Evansville problems are teams that can beat them up down low. Nevill is a solid forward, but is a little undersized, and other than him Ball St won't kill them down low. I picked Evansville as my sleeper in the Valley and have no reason to think otherwise after their first few games. I think they are going to build on their early season success at home, and take it to the Cardinal going away.

Wisconsin +4.5

Another dog that I think will win outright. Having watched Marquette a few times this season I just don't think they have 'it' this season. I think they are missing Tom Crean more than some people would like to admit. They have been making careless mistakes, and their intensity doesn't look as high as it used to in the past. The exact opposite can be said of Wisconsin. Bo Ryan is about to coach circles around Buzz tomorrow. Wisconsin doesn't beat themselves, and don't expect them to start tomorrow. This is a game I have been waiting for all week after seeing MU's effort against an undermanned, lesser talent CMU squad. That game confirmed my prior belief that Marquette was missing something. I expect Hughes to control the tempo of the game, and making this a Badger type of game that is played in the lower 60's where 5 points will be a huge advantage. Wisconsin is a physical team that is used to winning. They have experienced players that don't make mistakes. Hughes is as solid as they come at point, and Landry is a tough physical presence in the paint. Same can be said for Krabbenhoft, and Bohannon on thw wings. Bohannon, and reserve Jon Leuer give the Badgers a deadly 3 point attack that fully rounds out their team. I think Marquette gets exposed in this game
