Sunday: 5-1. +14.40
Overall: 93-77(54.70%) +21.70

Kind of a weird card for me. Usually hate playing ALL road teams, even if they are pretty decent sized dogs, but with conference play starting up this week for a lot of teams I feel these are some very good spots to take some larger dogs and catch the home teams sleeping looking forward to conference play.

Portland St +13.5 -110

Only one i'm going to officially play for now. I'm going to watch line movement on the other games for a little bit before making a move. They will most likely be; Temple, Belmont, and Cincinatti.

Portland State is so tempting to take with their huge upset of the Zags, yet Baylor scares me with their explosive backcourt. Hmm, decisions, decisions.

Portland State is good.. they beat Gonzaga and only lost by 1 at Washington. All of their losses have been close, tight games. They can def hang with this Baylor team.

Looking at GTown and Cinny. Memphis shouldn't laying double digits in this game.

Belmont +1

This is an experienced Belmont team that is used to playing in big games and winning. Over their last 3 seasons they won 20,23,and 25 games. They won last year at Kentucky and then took Duke to the wire before losing by 1. This year they picked right up where they left off. They traveled to Pitt and Tennessee, losing a hard fought game to Pitt by 14, and Tennessee by 2. They do have impressive wins over at Austin Peay, and Middle Tennessee St. They will not be intimidated traveling on the road, and will have an edge on the talent end. They shoot the 3 ball as well as anyone knocking down 39.1% of their 3's. They have 4 players who average double figures, and all 4 are seniors who have been through the wars. As for Santa Clara I watched their last game against Stanford and I was far from impressed with their talent level. Their point guard, with the kid and play flat top was a turnover waiting to happen. He forces the issue and turns the ball over way to often. They don't have many scoring options other than their big man John Bryant. Bryant is my only concern. His size should give Belmont a problem, but Belmont's elite guard play should neutralize Bryant's effectiveness. You also have to consider that Belmont is traveling out east right after the game since they play Wednesday at Harvard. PLaying after the holidays with obvious planning for the trip to come there is no telling where the players minds are, and Belmont is not a team you want to overlook. Belmont has played and beaten much better teams this season, and I expect Santa Clara to be no different.

Cincinatta +12
Cinc/Mem Under 137

Cincinatti is just too good defensively to let a bad offense such as Memphis to pull away from them. While Memphis shoots only 41.8% from the field, Cincinatti holds opponents to 36.7% on the defensive end. More importantly Memphis should not be able to dominate the Cats on the offensive glass, which accounts for a lot of their points. Because the Tigers shoot the ball so poorly they have a lot of chances on the offensive glass. They usually take advantage of that against most teams, but Cincinatti could be a different story. Cincinatti holds a +11 rebounding advantage, so I expect offensive rebounding to be at the minimum. The Bearcats also go 10 deep so they can match the deep Memphis bench. That is another thing Memphis can do to you. They ware you down with their bench, but again Cincinatti reguarly goes 10 deep. Memphis is also playing with no true point guard. As of late Calipari moved Tyreke Evans to the point, but he is a shooting guard at heart. Having to count on a freshman who is not a true point is not the way to help a struggling offense. It's going to be tough for Cincy to go into Memphis and win, but their defense and rebounding should keep this one close throughout

What about that kid Decesase White? He has been terrible but he is a talent and I think he could cause trouble sooner rather than later for opposing teams that play SCU. I don't know much about Belmont but it is the holidays and the students are not in school so that is good for the road team

Good luck with the Belmont play. Haven't seen them play to make a play on them.

Any thoughts for GTown vs. UConn?

Belmont isn't traveling east right after the game. This is a small 4 team tourney at Santa Clara. They will play either UTEP or James Madison Tuesday night. Then their next game is at home against Stetson on the 3rd. I don't see Harvard on their schedule. Not bashing, just for your info. G/L

solid number. can't really do anything with it either way. Although I wouldn't ber on it I have a feeling UCONN wins by double digits .
