Sunday: 1-3. -4.20
Overall: 7-4. +6.50

Weird day. Lost 2 games that I thought I had wrapped up, and won 1 where I thought I had no chance. Good thing there are games everyday cause I want to get yesterday far out of my mind.

C. Mich +1 -110

As short handed as C. Mich is their opponent may be in worse shape. Missouri St who I didn't think would be any good to begin with will be missing with 2 key contributor's, Shane Laurie, and Justin Fehrmeyer. That leaves them with a dangerously thin backcourt. Without those 2 they have virtually no fire power. I expect buckets to be tough to come by against a Cent Mich team that is focused on defense. Coach Ziegler knows they won't out score many opponents so defense must win them games. That should be the case Monday. Missouri St got blasted Friday and it should have been worse. Aubrun went 11-27 from the free throw line, and Missour St knocked down 11 three pointers. I don't expect them to make that many 3's in a single game the rest of the season. I played against the Bears Friday, and will continue to fade them until they show me they can score. They may be able to steal a few wins at home, but don't expect them to fair well on the road at all. Their is cautious optimism that year 3 of the Ziegler era the Chipps can contend for a league title and winning their home opener will go a long way in setting the tone for the season. They won a tough game short handed at Princeton, and expect them to build off that and protect their home court.

St. John's -4 -110

One thing I can assure you is Cornell expects to win this game. It's going to be hard to do without their all league backcourt. While Adam Gore is out until January, 1st team all leaguer Louis Dale is a little more of a question mark. He has a nagging hamstring and was kept out of their opening game against S. Dakota, and is uncertain for tonight's game against the Johnnies. Hamstring injuries are tough to play with so even if he does play I can't expect him to be 100%. With Dale, and even Gore the Big Red would have a very good change at beating St. John's. Without them I think it's going to be near impossible. St. John's is the type of team that turns games ugly. They get out and force you into doing things you don't want to. Cornell wants to get out and run and gun. Whoever can control the tempo in this game should be the winner. Without their backcourt I can't expect Cornell to control tempo. Malik Booth is extremely quick, and a relentless defender. He has the ability to totally disrupt the flow of the game. St. John's, who I expect to be much improved in the big east will have a decided athletic edge. I expect them to out physical Cornell. I don't see how Cornell can bang with this front court. Justin Burrell 6'8 240, Sean Evan 6'8 250, and DJ Kennedy 6'6 240. Even Roger Mason JR is 6'7 and super athletic. While Cornell may be the more fundamental team, St. Johns has the ability to get easy garbage buckets. Their size and athleticism should give them a clear edge rebounding the ball. This was a very young team last season. They gained valuable experience taking their lumps in the Big East. They have some very talented players in Anthony Mason Jr, Justin Burrel, and DJ Kennedy. This team cannot afford a loss to Cornell, and catch a break facing the Big Red while their not at full strength. I see St. Johns taking advantage of the situation and winning by ten or so.

C.Mich/Missouri St Under 136.5

Almost fell out of my chair when I saw this. I already touched on this game so this will be brief. C. Michigan is going to win with defense. They know this and so does everybody else. They lack consistent scorers, and for that matter so does Missouri St. There are really no big offensive threats on either teams. I expect a low scoring game that barely will get into the 60's, if they even make it that far.
