Will update record when Sunday's action is complete. Wanted to get this one out now as I will happily take this number. Saturday's loss is giving us a good number.

5 Unit

Notre Dame -1 -110

ND was in a typical look ahead game Saturday playing at a scrappy St John's team with a Big Monday game against Georgetown waiting for them. While this type of Gtown team would have given them trouble in the past I don't see it being the case this season. Usually the Hoyas would be able to muscle up the Irish and control the glass. It should be the opposite Monday. Notre Dame has Harangody down low, while Georgetown has been struggling on the glass. It was the reason they lost against Pitt on Saturday, at home. Young and Blair dominated the Hoyas on the glass. The Hoyas struggle against big post presense should as Gody. Monroe is a good player, but he is a little more developed on the offensive end rather then defense. The Hoyas also will not be able to play their zone defense against the Irish because they have the ability to shoot them right out of it. There aren't many better teams when playing at home, mainly because they shoot the ball so well from outside. They are especially comfortable playing on their home court. There is no secret why shooting teams perform much better at home. I have said it a million times there is nothing like shooting on the hoops that you practice on normally. The Irish have protected their home court just as good as anyone the past 5 years. Their loss earlier in the year was at a neutral court at Indianapolis. This is a well balanced ND team that has the ability to spread the floor against the Hoyas. They have 3 legit shooters in McAlarney, Ayers, and Jackson, to go along with the big horse Harangody. They are a much mor e balanced team than the Hoyas, and should be able to take advantage at home. With such a tough conference each and every big east coach stresses how important it is to protect home court. Notre Dame's shooting ability, along with Harangody's presence on the glass should be enough for ND to win this game rather easily. I had this game set at ND -7 so I will glady lay the point.

I had this opening at ND -8.5 and was going to play 6.5 or less. This line is horrific. Didn't think the St Johns loss would skew the line this bad.

kind of baffled myself. georgetown is good, but so is ND. The Irish were picked to finish near the top of the big east, georgetown was seen as more middle of the pack. I am really not that sure where this line is coming from?

This line caught my eye as well. G-Town is no chump, but ND's homecourt advantage is overwhelming no matter who they play. ND might be in big trouble if they start 0-2 in BE play. I like it, think I'll roll with it. Good luck HD.

Me either. I am not high on Georgetown at all. ND has done pretty much everything asked of them all year. They blew out thier cupcake games and then went to Maui and blew out Indiana, beat Texas. Then they hung with UNC until late 2nd half which is not easy. Blew out 2 more cupcakes. Played hard against Ohio St but came up short, won @ Depaul and then got snuck up on @ St Johns, like you said I thinking looking ahead. When your upcoming schedule is G-Town, S. Hall, Louisville, Cuse, Uconn, Marquette, Pitt, Cincy, UCLA, Louisville it is easy to take St Johns for credit.

They won't sleep through the G-Town game at home.

hdawg, i think you've found yourself another winner. no way g-town strolls into south bend and leaves with a dub. i fully consider this notre dame team to be a legit final 4 contender. i'll be on this play for 4 units. gl to all!

no major move. early action is easy to move the number. it's the late action i would worry about. actually i don't worry cause i consider my money to be smart money.
