first time i am not taking a home team this season. its a neutral site game, and i am on wofford moneyline (-139). they were competitive on the road against winners of 9 straight davidson, and then beat a winner of 8 straight (elon) on the road right after the davidson game. the letdown game vs uncg followed, but they used their week off to get ready for the postseason and picked up two easy wins against citadel and georgia southern, playing very efficient offense, as these two teams combined for only 2 steals and 1 blocked shot in two games. wofford defense kept citadel and ga.sou ball carriers in check, allowing a grand total of 10 assists in two games combined. as for wcu, i am impressed with what they did the last two days. two upset wins, after trailing by double digits in 2nd half both times. however, they went to ot yesterday in a game that featured 8 ties in final 4-5 minutes of regulation and overtime. its just a little bit too much to overcome playing third game in three days.
