I dont even think Warren Buffet or Bill Gates can say they ever made that much money in such a short period of time.

Yeah its happened a lot

IPOs, LBOs, Mergers large stakeholders can make 200mill in a day.

I think Ballmer made like 1-2B the day he left Microsoft because the stock went up.

A billion in a day is less then 200mil in 45 mins.

But if you started a company, you probably grow it for 5 years before that billion dollar IPO. And that is when the market is hot. I imagine alot of guys made that in a day though during the .com boom back in a day when they own millions of shares and the stock skyrockets 1 day.

Well yeah but that isn't much different than Mayweather cultivating a fan base and generating interest over a 20 year career. Not like he just wokeup one day and said lemme box and make 180 mill.

I cant beleive these 2 get that much money in a less than popular sport. Boxing is as off the map to the casual fan or even a major fan of sports in general.

So the training, practice and Jawing at each other in the media before the fight is not part of the job?

In all seriousness this took a lifetime for Mayweather to build. Countless hours in the gym, staying undefeated. There was alot of hardwork, training and promoting that went into it. Just like with a company, it didnt happen overnight. It took time to reach this point.

He said he got handed a check for 100 million immediately after the fight even before his press conference and that even when he retires, he will still get a 7 figure check every month.

Wonder how much he will give back to the casions? In espn mgazine. He made a bet of $200,000 on the 1st half of a pro game 200,000. Do you think he might have a little bit of a gambling problem. Of course he never loses
