Hindsight is 20-20 but this is why tcu should have been no higher than 4th in the committees rankings. This game woulda been out of the way nye.

best 3 teams this year all sec teams. Uga, Tenn, bama, are better than anyone else and should finish the year 1,2,3 in the polls but won’t due to people constantly thinking the sec is overrated.

this unfortunately for tcu will likely set the program back not push it forward. They got exposed and shown just how far they are away from competing with the big boys

If opinions mattered we can all skip the season and have a 4 game playoff on the preseason top 4
Detroit probably 5th best NFL team but they didn't deseev to make it ultimately
Opinions matter but only so much

8 yeam playoff will probably make it better because while you have to win some conferences have significantly tougher schedules so that will equal out wins and losses with scheduling unfairness

Bama and Tennessee didn’t get in because they were forced to play each other.

I agree to some extent. And I also think uga was hands down the best team this season wire to wire. But a 1 loss Ohio state and 1 loss tcu both who weren’t conference champions were put in my default not because they earned it. And it’s shown

The committee has been forced to listen to the elephant in the room and allowing these Cinderella’s in the playoff. The did with Cincinnati last year and again with TCU this year.The committee should get the best TEAMS in And maybe we aren’t watching this.

Who wouldyou put in ahead ?
Ohio St who lost at home by over 2o to the undefeated team who got beat by TCU lol
Tenny with two losses and no Heisman QB who got smushed by SC
Most of these games are blowout but anytime a team who isn't SEC or Ohio St gets left out the dick suckers of those teams cry and someone claims such and such team didn't deserve it
If outcome dictates TCU shouldn't have been in the playoffs it dictates even more Ohio St and Michigan are evn behind TCU if anything

Alabama was the clear other team that should have gotten in. 2 losses in the last play of each game, on the road in the SEC. If Alabama plays TCUs schedule they go undefeated, if TCU played Alabama’s they’d lose 3-4 games.

Also yes, Ohio State should have been the 3 seed if you are leaving Alabama out. They intentionally dodged the Mich/OSU matchup in the semis.

Are we trying to get the teams that earn it in? Or the best teams in? Had OSU or TCU won their championship, they would have earned it. When they lost. It turns into best teams IMO. Committee has done a bad job recently picking best teams.

And with an 8 team I don't believe every shit conference has to be in like most want
You will get the smaller conference team in but if they load up on bigger ones that is how it should be while also allowing for a potential underdog type team

I think we automatically assume the big 12 and pac 12 are power conferences in football.

the big 12 was Awful this year and we let a 1 loss non conference champion big 12 team in because they were a feel good story and because of worry of the backlash had they put a 2 loss at large in.

it’s long been the opinion that we have 5 major conferences in football. When really there is 1 or 2.

and opinions have been swayed lately. Too many yells and screams from the back to let smaller schools have a shot. Etc. they’ve gotten their shot last two years and it’s been two duds.

again all in hindsight. But this game tonight wasn’t good for tcu or college football. And I do agree bigger playoff might help. But committee botched this one. Again tonight was a bad bad look for college football

I had foresight on this game.
I don't believe that Tennessee or Alabama is 2nd or 3rd. I think you're a bit of an SEC homie. <No offense, just a bigger fan than most.
They are both behind OSU this year.
My point? OSU scored and had Georgia Beat.. Tennessee was shut down to only 289 yds and 17 points vs Georgia this year? And - Alabama was no where near as good as last year so NO they arent 3rd.

Like mentioned last week. Buckeyes lost Harrison in the 3rd qtr and would have won. They would also have beat TCU easily.

But everyone has an opinion after the fact.
I stated mine before the game was played.

I will say...There was Nothing SOLID about the TCU defense.
It was based on Competition level which was very soft and misleading .
just the fact that the 6 bowlers they played went 1-5 SU in the bows this year validates my points.
That would be why anyone thought they could compete. Their numbers were fake and still not Good or Solid.

The TCU win over Michigan was not a win. They were still outplayed by a team that was overconfident because of the win over OSU. TCU won on Int touchdowns.

D-Stats/Numbers are related to opponents level of competition. NOT because they are rated as a playoff team being #3.

This game again - was a Carbon-Copy of my writeup last year with Georgia/Alabama.
All of the scenarios were nearly identical with the masses betting against the team that didnt cover in the prior match and the Under dog that did in this prior game with Michigan.

The ,line was where it was to draw masses on TCU.
It did just that.
Georgia does it again!

They may be the best conference. I agree on that. But they were NOT ahead of OSU . Not even GA. OSU has the best WR in th league and a QB that was up for Heisman. The combo was killed off with Harrison going out.

But the Cinderella story was again boosted by many ( some as yourself) saying they had a SOLID defense.
That alone cause the public to be conditioned into thinking they are defensively solid. The offensive numbers were also solid but against Softer teams all year.
BOOM! All of a sudden a defensive team comes in a slams the door.

Guess who scored the most points on GA this year or from last year, in their last 30 games?

they are a solid defensive team. But uga, as I stated last week, has the best offense in the playoff and it was a perfect storm tonight. I certainly didn’t boost the Cinderella story. I said on paper looked like a uga route. I just didn’t like the number. But I jumped on it live.

you do realize we don’t have to argue or try to prove each other wrong all the time right? I don’t think I disagreed with anything you said with the game. I even said I thought it would be a game uga jumped out and dominated early and ran it down their throats. I just didn’t like the posted number. see you have to W.I.N. The game. Sometbjng that both Michigan and Ohio state have struggled with vs the sec.

As bad as the people of the big 1o and even the media want them to be, neither can handle the upper parts of the sec. Numbers prove this
