Im going to post and play my highest rated computer total for the NHL each day.

Ill be playing these in a 2 time double down fashion, much like im doing in the NBA now.

a) Redwings Over 5.5 (+1.00) ($50 to win $50)


each series will be played to win $50. i will have 3 shots at a win, after that the series will be recorded as a loss.

So I understand...a quasi-martingale approach with a max of three shots before you start over at base risk?


A big fan of your actuarial bent...glad to see you lacing up the skates here in late January

Always contemplated doing a Martingale approach. Assuming a 50/50 chance, you've only got a 12.5% chance of losing 3 in a row.... most good bettors can hit better than 50%. Good luck!

thx guys, yes i have back tested this.... actually i have worked with this exact system for about 2 years "off and on"....

however during those times, i attempted to play every play, where there was (X) amount of difference in my line versus their line....

the results were very mixed... i would go on some good runs and then hit a string of bad results but the amount of plays was always large...

this past month, i have been going over alot of my old work and trying to see how ---- just the best play fared... the results were much better.

as for the "martingaling" approach, i can advise no one to do that.

i am playing these for a very small amount and im very comfortable doubling down twice...

something in that manner, depending on the juice.

as i was saying, ive done Extensive work with this, for all 3 major pro-sports (mlb, nba and the nhl) no football and no college sports..

i needed a larger amount of games, than football could give and the competition in college sports is no where close to equal..

lets see how this works out over the next few days (weeks)... in my mind, ive allocated only $1000 for this run in the NHL and $2000 for my current NBA run...

we will see how it goes..

My favorite part of watching SSI's threads of this type is when I completely ignore the first selection which Loses and then I get on the second selection fresh....(smile)

Put the NYR Undah 5.5 in a small 2TP with LAClippers +135 for right at a 3x1 payout
