Luck isn't the issue. I know you can pull up stats so far this year that are not the best. If Luck was the issue, he would not have taken a 2-14 team to an 11-5 team overnight with the same roster. The entire game is on Luck's shoulders. There are only about 4 or 5 guys on the Colts other teams would want to take as a starter. What drives me nuts is sense of urgency. The Colts can score 21 points in the 4th quarter but coast the entire game. It's like when they need too, no problem. Colin Cowherd was just talking about this. We know Luck can play. The team doesn't look good. They need an offensive coach. Besides Bellichick, do these defensive minded coaches ever work out. I think part of Luck's success was Bruce Arians. He is making Carson Palmer look like an all time great.
If I had Cam or Taylor, I would go crazy. The guy gets a 1st down and he has to turn to his Superman gimmick. Didn't he once do that when they were down big.
Peyton's 4th year was a disaster too; he turned out fine and Jim Mora got fired after that one too. Some good sound bites from Manning that year. Mora attacked him for throwing interceptions and Manning took to local radio and expressed how pissed he was about it.

He's not. I bet "horseface" doesn't have a problem getting his share of pussy. But you Pats fans used to make fun of Peyton's forehead all the time. Luck is going to end up getting hurt though. The Cowboys can rebuild their line in 2 years but the Colts can't in 10. I hate when they take a lineman in the 6th round and act like he is going to be a difference maker. He will be lucky to make the team and likely won't start. That is the one position they have done a terrible time drafting... On top of that, the best lineman of the last 15 years was Jeff Saturday and he wasn't even drafted.
He does need some more protection, but he has to shoulder some of the blame. He doesn't always make the right decisions and sometimes he waits too long going through his progressions.
As far as Peyton, I've always liked him except when he's playing the Pats.
Luck does hold the ball too long sometimes. It's like he doesn't know the saying of " just live to fight another day". I always said Manning would play longer than the typical 16 year career because he knew how to avoid the big hits. If someone was barreling down on him, he would just go down on his terms to avoid the hit. He was hardly ever touched for years even on alot of sacks. Ands if he threw a pick, unless he could shove the guy out of bounds, he made sure he was not in the play. Luck acts like he is a middle linebacker. The back-up is 40 year old Matt Hasselback who looked like crap in pre-season and hasn't taken a meaningful snap in 4 years. Biggest fade if he goes down.

Some guys really just are not meant to be head coaches. Every now and then a long time assistant will do well, but most of these guys are life long assistant or position coaches for a reason. I would hire Rex in a second to be Defensive Coordinator; I wouldn't touch him as a head coach. That guy in San Francisco is another example. Mike Tomlin sucks too. He is just being saved because Rothlisberger has been playing great the last couple of years.
There has got be so much to juggle as a head coach that you don't need to worry about as an assistant. I can't beleive someone was dumb enough to hire Jim Caldwell as a head coach. On top of that, these decisions are made by very wealthy people. Umm, maybe his record could have been a little inflated because of Manning. Like Caldwell would overrule Manning. Manning overruled Dungy on a 4th down call once. Dungy wanted to punt. Dungy is the most overated coach in history. His nice guy approach has been giving him a pass for too long.
