Hey Fellers-I honestly believe they will put that TD back on before midnight

It is not out of the question. I am not joking.

Now the NFL has to answer questions about the games being fixed. That was just too blatant. At least before there was no hard core evidence. Now there is.

5 Dimes had it as a win. 20 minutes later it was a loss. Now it is pending. There is hope! :think2:

didn't the Ref signal TD after the replay? but he also said there was an illegal forward pass, although he sounded fucking confused

I don't think you need to kick the extra point in the NFL if the game is over, so I don't believe the fact that they didn't means anything.

I doubt something changes, but I'm hoping.

What is going on in Vegas?

THAT blatant? Name a play that could be called blatant fixing?

If you can't name one, then there isn't a call that was as blatant as this one. If it occurred during the middle of game, it is not as blatant as this play.

call the gambling gods or better yet pray

they never worked before, I tried

BTW: I don't expect the result to change, I just want the idiot Ref humiliated, suspended or maybe even fired.

I'll probably have to settle for humiliated.

You guys should not be complaining to Goodell.

You just fuel his desire to get rid of gambling on sports. I know you guys think the NFL wants gambling, but trust me, they want no part of it. So if you bitch enough, he can say, "see, if gambling weren't in the picture, nobody would think it's fixed. They'd realize it was simply a butchered call."

Guys, there were horrible calls before. And it had nothing to do with gambling.

The Dallas Hail Mary game in 1975 had nothing to do with gambling. Just a missed call.

The 1998 FIASCO between Buffalo and New England, where the officials made up 3 HORRIBLE calls in a row to let New England score.....and yes, it affceted the spread when Wade Phillips got mad and took his team off the field and then Pete Carroll decided to have Vinateri walk the snap in for 2 points.....those were simply blown calls. Although you could argue with me on that one LOL.

The missed blow to the head of David Garrard yesterday on that INT before Tenn put it away......just a missed call.

The Immaculate Reception in 1972....Just a controversial call. Not even sure it was a bad one.

The New England vs Oakland "Tuck Rule" bullshit....Hell, even Raider fans admit that had nothing to do with gambling. They simply think the league was out to fuck the Raiders.

The point is, don't do this. Don't give Goodell the ammunition he needs to go to congress to fuck your right to gamble.

I realize I'm going to get some, "Oh, the NFL cannot survive without gambling..." response. REALLY? You think they believe that? They have seen the stats. Between 90% and 95% of those watching their games are simply fans or fantasy football addicts or the sort. Even though the amount of people betting has grown significantly over the years, it's still a very small percentage of the sports fan universe.

You can bitch about it here. Just don't make noise to the wrong people, if you know what I mean.

I respectfully disagree with your post.

Read Dan Moldea or Tim Green.

NFL has been controlling games for decades.

You miss my point entirely.

I read that book by Moldea in 1989. And if you read carefully enough, he proves that the league thinks that "Gambling is the H-Bomb of the leagues."

Tim Green was a player. His viewpoint is to be respected. And he completely misses on the desire of the league to keep gambling around. No they do not.
