A good percentage? Ooooookay.

Yes sir. A good percentage. Please tell me how many other religions have this problem. SO, taking that into consideration, I guess I should rephrase my comment. Compared to all other religions, a good percentage of Muslims are idiots. Its not rocket science. Come on, how smart do you have to be to do those crazy things those idiots do out in the Middle East. How many Jews walk around Gaza with bombs strapped to them, not many b/c they are smarter.

IDK, when I think about the Middle East and their modern day culture, "brilliance" is not what comes to mind (just sayin y'know?)

they're still fighting the Crusades for Heaven's sake, WTF is that about?

they have more time to protest stuff than Greek students do, even more than our very own labor unions. Now that's a lot of time to kill

(should say "time to waste", shouldn't say "kill" when talking about them there folk)

There are over 1 billion Muslims in the world, and maybe 200-300 suicide bombings a year. No way that adds up to a good percentage. As for suicide bombers being idiots, I couldn't agree more. And actually Hindus{Tamil} in Sri Lanka are using suicide bombers.

When you compare it to American suicde bombers, I'd have to say yes, that's pretty high. Gotcha JW.

you guys gotta get back on track. this is about muslims in america, not in the middle east. if the USA was getting 200-300 muslim suicide bombers/year then maybe Cain is onto something. until then, he's a jackass

Yeah it's definitely jumping the gu,er, detonation button. First of all a town is not going to build a mosque unless there are enough Muslims living there to support it and worship. That would be most places. And if anything besides worship comes out of said mosque, such as radicalized sermons, solicitations for charities that support terrorists, or terrorist acts, then we can [and will literally] make a federal case out of it.

The area of our country that has the most fundamentalist Muslims is Dearborn, MI. Some of the high school students there were seen wearing t-shirts celebrating 9/11 last year. That cannot stand! But even in that city I would hope most of the Muslims are moderate and loyal to America.

so then these towns can also ban Baptist churches if they wish? mormon temple? jews for jesus? sounds mighty american to me

btw HC must have a different version of the constitution as mine has no such guarantee as the "separation of church and state". yes it allows for religious liberty and ensures that the govt isn't going to tell you what religion you should follow but to think for a second that government and religion don't intersect is foolish.

The first mosque was built in by Albanian Muslims in 1915 in Maine. By 1919, they had established another mosque in Connecticut. So when my parents were born there were 2 mosques in America. So it's hard to equate long established Baptist churches or even Jewish Temples & Mormon Tabernacles with Mosques. The building of Mosques is not really as American as you suggest, when America did become the Worlds great power after WWI we had 2 Mosques.

Freedom of religion is established from this countries inception & yes that meant every religion, but when Ben Franklin stated that he "did not disapprove" of a meeting place in Pennsylvania that was designed to accommodate preachers of all religions. Franklin wrote that "even if the Mufti of Constantinople were to send a missionary to preach Mohammedanism to us, he would find a pulpit at his service." I imagine that thought seemed far fetched to him!

I'm not a Cain apologist I don't think he'd win 1 state if nominated, but many people feel the way he does about this issue!
