I bet $25 to win $1322 on a four team "suicide" parlay. I took Tenessee, Iowa, VTech, and Oklahoma on the money line. Tenessee and Iowa won. What should I do, as far as hedging, to insure a profit? Any advice is appreciated.

My advice would be to take Auburn as I believe they will pound Va Tech. Oklahoma is a solid pick though, IMO. I just think you have to cover Va Tech, just my opinion, take it for what it's worth. GL with whatever you decide.

Not too far away from me. We used to have a heavy rival against you guys in football. If you were around in '96 I played football against ya.

if i were you, i bet on Auburn tomorrow for about $100 (depend on how greedy you are) so that if Auburn win, you still got yourself a $50 profit. Now, if VTech happen to win tomorrow and you bet $100 on Auburn, then its only a small lost because your jackpot is at $1322. Since 3 teams already hits, i would take the total $1322 minus $25 for the parlay ticket you bought, then minus the amount you lost ($100) for the Auburn/Vtech game. So that mean $1322 minus $25 minus $100 equal $1197. So now your jackpot goes down from $1322 to $1197, not so bad. Well, you dont have to risk anything for the Auburn/VTech game if you want a higher jackpot. But remember, Auburn win will leave you empty handed.

Dont read further if Auburn win tomorrow.

With that being said... i would risk half of the $1197 on USC. Why?? because this will allow you to win no matter what. $25 for $599 isnt bad right? For the last game, you dont have to go 50/50=$598.5/$598.5, you can try 60/40=$718/$479 or 30/70=$395/$838 ... the more you risk the better reward right? However, i think 50/50 is the best since you have no idea whos going to win for sure. Good luck! :103631605

First of all. . Great job on the parlay, that is really awesoSportluver. . You have this nailed except for one thing. .

If he bets Auburn tomorrow and Auburn wins by 3 he has lost everything.

So you are going to have to take auburn ML -220

Now like Sportluver said you have to decide how greedy you want to be.. . .

Situations . .

440-200 Auburn

Auburn win - You made $175 (which I think will happen)
Auburn Loss - you still have 25 to win $882

From there. . .

You can bet half you bet or whatever you decide you want to make.

goodluck with whatever you do. . Keep us updated

I agree with Kruser6...but I would just sit tight if I were you. If you win tonight then I would hedge on tomorrows game. The only reason I say this is this:

Let's say VT wins outright tonight then you are out $440 right?

So tomorrow you spend another, let's say $400 on USC ML?
Now you are in for $865 total including your original bet right?
Oklahoma ends up winning outright....but what happens if the online betting site
does not pay or gets rid of your wager? You will be out $865
Is the original bet through a reputable site?
The only reason why I bring this up is I have heard and seen many crooked things coming from these online betting sites.

Case in point:
My brother had a 7 team parlay go 5-5.
So he hedged but in a better situation than you (not straight up).
Lost the hedge and then was 6-6.
Hedged again and then lost again so he won his par.
When he went onto the site there was no record of his 7 team parlay!
Talk about stress! It was a good thing he had printed a copy of his bet otherwise it may never have shown up again.
I don't mean to scare you, but be carefull. You could end up losing more than $25.
Just make sure the site is reputable...
Good Luck!
