Facts about my situation:

1. I have made several credit card deposits to Pinnacle between March and July of 2003.

2. I changed checking accounts (banks) in August and my cc is now void on the old account.

3. Pinnacle has a policy of paying withdrawls to cc first.

4. I requested in an email that Pinnacle forgive my previous cc deposits so that I may deposit cash and withdraw cash in the future.

This is my email to them and their final response. By the way - it took 3 days of emails to get a response from mgmt. While they are very good about getting responses back to you if it is a basic question - getting anyone in mgmt is nearly impossible.

I AM ASKING FOR OPINIONS HERE. AM I CRAZY? AM I EXPECTING TOO MUCH FROM PINNACLE? I am only going public after I have exhausted every option with them.

Hello - this is account XXXXXXX. I recently inquired about changing the status of my account to let me deposit a big cash deposit without having to withdraw via a credit card if I win. I received your response that said that I would need to withdraw 6k (a large reduction but not totally reduced) before I could get cash - but it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to use that cc anymore. The account has been cancelled and is void.

I want to play with you and give you business and I want to be up front and honest about it. I could easily open a new account, use a different name, get the initial bonus, change my IP address, and bet that way but I DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT!! I want to do business with you up front and honest - and Im sure you want my business as badly as I want to send you my money.

The deposit will be in USD, and any withdrawls I do in the future would have to be via check or neteller. I am just asking you to forgive the cc withdrawl policy - and I WILL NOT USE CC AGAIN! I am a very good, honest, and loyal customer.

Please reconsider because you have put me in a position to go elsewhere as there is nothing I can do about my cc situation. I have no other option but to find a new book - something I really do not want to do. PLEASE CONSIDER MY REQUEST AND CONSIDER THAT I AM A VERY GOOD FUTURE CUSTOMER.

Thanks

Me

THEIR RESPONSE
Sir,

We have reviewed your account regarding your request to waive credit
card
withdrawals in the future. We can waive the return for most of the
credit
card deposits, however, not all of them. The deposits made in July
2003
would need to be returned to your card. The total deposits in July
2003
are: $6,321.

In addition, we can confirm that once the $6,321 is cleared from your
account you may withdraw using a check or wire. Or, you may use
NETeller,
if you desire. The policy regarding NETeller withdrawals would be
waived.

Our waiving of the credit card return policy would be predicated on you
not
using your credit card in the future. All deposits to your account
would be
via either Western Union, wire transfer or cashier's check.

We hope this is an agreeable solution for you and that you will
continue
playing at Pinnacle Sports.

If so, please confirm via an email to our Customer Service Department
at
csd@pinnaclesports.com and we will add a note to your account.

Regards,
Customer Service Department
Pinnacle Sports

Very reasonable. You could easily still do a chargeback. They are just protecting themselves.

Pinnacle is been very reasonable in this situation. You are very lucky they even accept not to make a payback on all cc charges you made.

You are being unreasonable in bringing this matter on the forums.

Truthteller - I dont know if you understand.

My account balance is currently 0. I am asking from this point forward to be just cash. If they do not accept - I can NEVER play at pinnacle again. The cc account is not valid and wont accept credits back to it.

Does that make it more clear??

If you must... Just wait awhile. The last CC deposit will be cleared by Oct. IMHO

Batistua- Thanks for sharing. Let me see if I have this right. You depoited 6,xxx via a credit card that you now have voided correct? If so, and you knew that this would be a problem with Pinnacle down the road, why did you cancel? Did you have to cancel the card for personal reasons? Lets start there and work from there. Thanks

Credits to the old card number should be forwarded to the new cc. Check with your bank. It's not that big of a deal.

Bat,

Normally when your card is not valid anymore, you can still go to the bank that issued the card and get your money.

In the worse case scenario, they try to send your money back to the cc, it gets rejected and they pay you some other way.

BTW, you can still make chargebacks even if the card is not valid anymore.

Here is the deal strut - I recently moved and therefore moved my checking account to a new bank. The debit card was attached to the bank and now I have a new one with a different bank.

The old bank will accept returns to the cc up to 30 days after the account is closed and credit it to the account - but after that the merchant will get a message that denies the return. It has been 47 days since I cancelled the account and in the banks eyes I am dead to them.

Also, my new checking account bank will not do gaming transactions.

thanks

Get a letter from the bank with a number to confirm the story. If the book still won't help phuckem.

Jay - I can get that but Pinnacle is not interested.

It is Pinnacles right to deny a customer at anytime - and Im not arguing that - I guess Im just questioning a mgmt decision to turn down a lot of cash and good future business.

If it is a question of paying the 3% fees for the cc transaction - I will pay it for a cash withdrawal up to the 6k number they asked.

Im really trying to be reasonable and represent both sides fairly.

Thats horse shit. Maybe they aren't the best. With shit like this who craes about -1.07 juice.

Sportsbook.com has some of the strictest rules regarding credit backs to the cards. Seeing the scenario here I know they would let this go.

Bat- Thanks for making what happened clear. First off, let me say this is a tough situation for you and Pinnacle. In my opinion, PINNACLE showed you no disrespect for their decision. Understand how they have to draw the line somewhere or they would have many abusers trying to avoid debits back to their cards and trying to withdraw an easier way. I totally believe what you said to be true. Dont misunderstand that. I see in this thread allready you are getting some ideas on what to do from some astute posters that are quite honestly better prepared to give advice on this situation than me as I rarely use credit cards for offshore funding. It does bring up some interesting scenarios though. If I were knowing that I was going to re-up with Pinnacle, I would have did my best to keep that card active. I realize that you were probably not able to do that. Anyway, hope you get some answers here. You came to the right place for them , thats for sure. Good luck.

Bat- Your welcome. Hopefully I can be of better assistance if you have problems in the future. You seem like an honest person and the more of your types around here, the better.

My solution, which I think FatFrank is hinting at, is that you should just lay off Pinnacle until the chargeback period is over.

After like 90 days or whatever, you can no longer charge them back, and at that point you'd think Pinnacle would forgive the July 2003 credit card charges.

But you are the customer and they are the business, so if you don't want to come back in October or November because you found a nicer place to play, then don't. It's their loss for being so strict about it. But if you want to play there again, the above would be my solution.
