Hi,

Could you answer these questions:

- I have read that in your online sportsbook you can buy half a point. But, in the one I use (Sportingbet, I live in Europe so I can't use the same sports gaming sites as you do) I can buy as many as I want. For instance in Monday N¡ght Football today I can bet for Denever from +0.0 until -14.0 and for Cincinnati from +0.0 until +14.0. Can it be done that in American oriented sportsbooks?

- Another question: In the "Daily Reporter News" in this website I have read that most sporsbooks are trying to get into the casino or poker business because of the risks that they have to take with sports betting. Are there so many risks for sportsbook as it's stated in this article? If there are how can there be so important companies as Sportingbet, BetonSports, Betcorp, William Hill and Lebrokes that get so many benefits?

-The last question: In the country I live there's not much tradition with sports betting and I would like to know: how popular is it in the United States? Is it something normal or considered normal or is somethig that only a few people do?
Thanks.<!-- / message -->

Hello and welcome to the Rx. c091393801 I will take a shot at answering your questions. Buying points - most American type books have a limit on the nmuber of points you can buy usually 3. Some others do not. Best to check on a book by book basis.

The article from the Reporter most likely is referring to the risk differnece between booking sports and operating on line casinos or poker rooms. Booking sports is not an automatic win for a bookmaker - where casinos and poker rooms have built in profitability.

Sports betting while illiegal in the US (except Nevada) is extremely popular, from common office pools for the super bowl to full time professional sports bettors. With the advent of internet sports betting the number of gamblers has grown greatly in the last 10 years.

Hope I have been of some help. Best of luck, wilheim
