If you really want to buy this, and are willing to take some risk...my advice would be to 1) Buy the item and have it shipped to a friend of yours in the States who would remove the price tag, and ship it down with a new declared value of say 1/3rd the price, or less. If you wanted to bypass the need for a contact stateside, maybe you can tell Amazon it is for a gift, and I believe they would not indicate the value of the item. Once the item arrives in CR you pay applicable taxes but saved yourself lots of money in the process thanks to the reduced listing price. Now, being the technology is so new chances are customs workers here wouldnt know to look up what the reall price is... I would declare it as a standard LCD TV. Other possibilities may exist if you had a contact inside customs, but that doesn't always work. BOL!
