I bet 200 on Oregon to win NC at 5/2 a while back. Would appreciate help in deciding to stand pat, or hedge with Ohio State plus points trying for a middle, or hedging with Ohio State money line. Thanks for advice.

The points have only come into play 3 times this bowl season. If that's a large bet for you maybe throwing a little down(say 50-100) on the Ohio St. ML would not be such a bad idea just to cover yourself a little bit should Ohio St. pull off the upset. Otherwise you are sitting in a pretty good position getting 5/2 on a -220 Fav.

I'm thinking about hedging this game as well as I will finish 3rd place in a Bowl Pick'em pool IF Ohio St. covers the +6.5, which should pay around 700. If Oregon covers I'll end up out of the money. So probably going to put a couple hundred on the Ducks, rooting for the Bucks to cover to net out a nickle.

I'm with BIZ!!! At least $200 on Ohio State plus the points for you to at least break even with your initial $200 wager should Ohio State win SU...You are in the position to win $500 should Oregon win straight up so it still gives you some play with an opportunity to win $700 on an Oregon win but not cover. It is the safe way. You could put more on Ohio State plus the points but the way these Bowl games have gone the SU winner has covered the spread at an alarming rate.

You have to go with Ohio State ML, and do it quickly. 5/2 is not a huge hedge position going in, so get the most out of it.
