So I was on Cincinnati-6.5 for $400. I also had a $60 4 teamer that includes Bal-3.5, Cle-2, Den-8.5, and Bengals-6.5 that pays out around $700.

A few things:
I saw Cincy score a TD which was waived cause of a BS call.
1 Carolina TD was a clear gimme by the refs due to BS pass interferences.
No calls on Carolina O-line holding.

Crap game leaves me losing $460 instead of pocketing around $1100.

True. Been a victim on both sides, especially in NBA. This just hurts because instead of a W, I'm in the red.

Yep. What's worse was that I bought the hook to avoid the push if they won only by 7. But the refs are horrible.

I had the Jets and Miami AND Cincy in a survivor pool where the tie means a loss. The combo has to be my worst day ever!

I didn't watch most of the Cincy game. But if it went as you said you lost that on bad calls and won Denver on a last minute miracle (which I unfortunately saw). Most times that game ends 24-17. Sort of like offsetting penalties in your parley. I had Carolina and the Jets so I was on the other side of it.

November 3, 1990.

Pre-Internet Era. In San Diego, you either hooked up with a local or do what I did and make the trip to the Caliente Sportbook just across the border in Tijuana. Anyway, was up $300 in the morning games so for grins-and-giggles decided to drop $20 on a 10-team parlay which paid 500-1.

Unbelievably, I hit the first 9 plays with one pending: Houston -21.5 vs TCU.

Got back to my place in San Diego just in time to turn on ESPN and hear the update (game was not televised): "And in Houston at the start of the 4th quarter it's the Houston Cougars all over TCU 56-10."

HOLY CRAP!! There it was baby......$10,000 virtual cash right there in my greedy little hands!! I started pounding the adult beverages hard and heavy celebrating.

Long story short: The game ended 56-35 and there I was at -21.5. And to this day that is what I consider my worst beat ever in sports wagering.
