Not a bad idea. It's Neteller friendly, for starters.

We just got rid of the "classifieds". It was called Site Promotion Forum.

Yes, it is possible. A new section like this may serve purposes of bad deals or scams which we have to hear about in the other rooms putting burden on the site Mods to monitor bad situations which will arise. As always, I am open to suggestions, but I think Ebay has this cornered.

I think it would turn into another site promotions room and be really tough to police. Also there would be no real advantage to TheRx in the business sense, I am not sure how you could use it to produce an income stream. There would however be a lot of headaches created through the disputes that would undoubtedly arise.

If people want to sell stuff in the Offshore forums Caveat Emptor that is their business, but for TheRx to sanction such transactions would open the sites owners up to possible liability.

That's my 2-cents.

There seems to be people selling items here and there. I only purchase from businesses online, not individuals. But that is b/c sometimes there is no easy access to inquire about the product or individual.

I have a false sense of trust with the posters here and feel just as confident doing business here than with any other jake leg on the internet. People here have demonstrated reasons to trust and not trust. You can ask as many questions possible in a thread and/or post as many pics.

People here have some of the same interests and of course with everything in life , Buyer Beware! for all of you concerned with problems that may arise for the site. This would not be site run - you are on your own as far as getting paid or disputes.
I have a lot of crap to get rid of, but would not go through the process on e-bay or any other classified. It would be very convenient to take 30 sec and post a thread.

There could also be a "wanted" section, which I would think would be more popular than the "for sale" section. This site is very informative if you are looking for something or wondering where to look for something. Posters usually steer people in the right direction when it comes to products (not picks)

Something to think about

I guess that is true about the scammer talk

If you see madcapper selling a brand new alienware computer for 100 bucks, one might have to wonder.

It would cause oodles of problems, only way it could work is if you attacked it with the same intensity of setting up an ebay, but without the bidding but that envolves email exchanges which also opens itself to scams

it couldnt work

A classified in the paper, you talk the person on the phone for a bit, you go to their house its a whole different ball of wax.

Hundreds of online "community" sites offer such a section.
It's really just a buyer beware ...you make a statement that all trades are between person to person and the site is not responsible.
It's really just a matter of whether or not it's worth a little effort from the management to set it up....But to make it sound like this is a crazy idea, or that it will never work, hundreds of sites do it and it works fine..
check out any car, computer, gardening, collector site and they all do "for sale/wanted" sections....

like anything else, you always have scammers, thats why its BUYER BEWARE
