Has the Rx considered pulling Royal?

I'm amzed that neither the Rx or MW has pulled Royal down. Both sites have as good of info on Royal as anybody. Seriously, Shrink has said becareful, to his credit, but what if a newbie stumbles in and assumes that every book listed is healthy and joins Royal?

And if the Shrink says "Be careful", for God's sake isn't that enough reason to pull them down????

The situation at Royal is very, very serious. Ken & Krack know it and Russ & D know it. Why take a chance and leave them up? Is it just about the money?

Lets see, hasn't pretty much every book that Oly has stopped doing transfers with went down??

Now they are saying that Royal stiffed Oly on some downpayment or something?

..and if you want my advice on your book-to-book transfer with Pinnacle, I would:

1) Have Pinnacle Guarentee in writing that they will honor the Royal transfer, no matter what. They did eat the AcesGold transfers but.. I wouldn't leave it to chance.

2) If they will not; transfer the money back to Royal and request a Western Union

And don't let any of this worry you. You're not going to lose any money.

Of course we have considered it and I am in close touch with Roberto...

However, I have already warned gamblers to tread carefully, and that's as far as I am going to go with it for now...

Unless of course I hear of a no pay or a slow pay involving a gambler...

Who knows for sure what the ultimate outcome will be (and for the good of the industry, people should be rooting for Royal to pull through), but it's somewhat disheartening that (former ?) player's watchdog Patrick McIrish currently has the tagline "Thank you BETROYAL for your generous donation to the RX party fund.....".

Based on past actions and because of his position as head moderator, a lot of people look up to Patrick on these matters, and at a bare minimum, he should not be sporting a tag line that supports/promotes Royal at this point in time.

OK Ken... I respect your opinion, I'd like to change it though. The trustworthy sources of the past are not what they use to be there. I like Roberto but I wonder if he even knows.

When this is over I think it would be a good debate to have on future policy. I think we could probably a agree that once we hear a slow/no pay its too late.

Maybe there could be some breakers in there. One breaker might be if Oly stops transfers?? I don't know...just thinking out loud..

What on earth are you talking about? I assume you have not read any of these threads if you ask that question. Royal did approach SBR when the Oly deal looked done. They were assured that they would be given more than fair consideration to rejoin the SBR Recommended List even though Oly is already on it.

I love Royal but HELL NO! I wouldn't take them as an advertiser here or anywhere. They should be pulled down until the situation stabelizes imo.

I think it depends on the changes. If its one key guy then no. If its the entire management team, part of the ownership, buyout deals falling through then yes. Players should not have to take those kind of risks because a book missmanaged its self.

I know where you are going with this...Is the current run worse than the original problem? debate. It may be but what are we suppose to do given what we know?

NO! For one thing, if I had a site like this, or any site, I think it would be a terrible business decision. Forget the ethics for a minute.

IMO, this site would generate a higher long term ROI if the list was sacred, elite, maybe even difficult to get on. Everyone would know if you were on the Rx list you were as good as gold. Hence, ad rates could sharply increase.

Personally Buzzsaw I am sick of your site which gives little or no reporting on real stiff books that don't pay people like Bet Flamingo and Score while trashing a book that has NEVER had any slow complaints like you did with Heritage and now Royal. And gee I don't recall you warning anyone about NAB either. As far as Royal goes, as long as the Shrink and Patrick stand behind them that's good enough for me. I still remember the Shrink was the one who called Aces Gold correctly while everyone else was still praising them.
