Down 45-17 and calls timeout with 6 seconds. Goes to line up for a field goal realizes that won't get the spread covered so goes for it and score a 30 yard TD with no time left on the clock. 45-23 and a cover.

This guy is unbelievable. He must be getting some serious kick backs for these late game covers he comes up with.

I feel much better after this cover. This one makes up for that NEB TD pass with 1 sec left vs Mizzou when they were gonna run out clock then decide to pass it 30 yards for a TD to push total over.

That isn't how it happened. USC called the time out and he changed his mind about FG

Why is he a "tool" for throwing the ball in the endzone at the end of the game? I don't understand the complaining. If you bet on USC you are the one that is a complete moron.

USC is TERRIBLE at covering on the road at night when favorites of over 20 points. Look it up....very under performing in this spot.

Pete was in shock at that point....Harbaugh had enough of the huge SC contingent that was celebrating the apparent last minute cover so he decided to try and stick it up their ass

Please, no more confusing the squares with logic.

When teams are losing they throw the ball until final play, is this everyones first time watching football.

Also, why didn't SC stop it.

When are people going to learn football games are 60 minutes, not 59:58 or 59:59, unless of course you are Wisconsin and playing at UNLV, then 53.30 should do it.

It's never good when you're on the losing end of a play like this..Which I was earlier this year with Stanford/San Jose....But wouldn't you rather know where a coach like Harbaugh stands when it comes to his team covering spreads? I know I would...I know I'll be very hesistant for here on out in betting against this team. Especially when their playing at home, where their 5-0 ATS this season. But I'll also feel more confident playing on them in the future. Especially when they play the weaker competetion.

Knowing which coaches are aware of and make an effort to cover spreads has to be one of if not the 1st factor you consider now in picking games, especially in today's climate where it seems more common. HOWEVER, in this instance, how would you explain Harbaugh sending out his FG kicker for a FG which if made would've made no impact on the spread, only to change his mind ONLY AFTER Bozo the Carroll called a timeout.

Why he would send out a FG kicker I don't know. Maybe his game line math was bad. But you know as well as I that the last second TD they put up against San Jose earlier in the season was soley for the sake of covering that spread..

Agreed.

Did you hear the cheer from the SC fans when they scored to go up by 28. Coaches know where their bread is buttered and most alum are the biggest squares out there, they think their teams is going to cover every games.

Trust me, these coaches try and win the game first and foremost, but when playing teams like the Citadel, if you can cover, you sure are going to try to get it covered. Alums donate money and this is what makes them happy.

There is no coach out there that blatantly covers spreads at home like Mike Leach...When TT plays the bad to average teams at home, you will either see me betting on TT or just leaving the game alone. Like I said before, it's good to know where a coach stands when it comes to covering the spreads for their homeboyz.
