HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT HOLLYWOOD ALSO!

PS-The Packers are the best team in football right now, but the Lions sometimes find great inspiration on Turkey day.

Yes happy Thanksgiving to all and especially to you Fish.

PS. I thankfully don't have enough short term memory to remember really bad beats but I know two years age the Detroit game ruined my holiday. Back then I would bet way beyond my 2% and take wild roller coaster rides. Can anybody remember that one and what exactly happened?

Thanks Mr. Jones!

Hope you and the MRS. have a happy turkey(duck) day!

ps- I believe the Lions defeated the Vikings two years ago on Thanksgiving as a 3 point dog....27-24.

Fish as things turned out, I got the OK to shoot the duck but didn't have the heart to do it after I sobered up the next day.

I don't know Fish, if it's 2001 that we're talking about, then check out this quote (and link):

Lions rookie quarterback Mike McMahon nearly added his name to the Thanksgiving annuls alongside Clint Longley and Jason Garrett. McMahon keyed a 14-point comeback bid in the game's final moments. A missed two-point conversion, however, came up short as the Packers held on for a 29-27 victory.Link: Quarter by Quarter

But you got a point. Although I don't remember the posted line for that game, I'm sure that with a difference of 2, the Pack was unable to cover. ATS is what counts, when we talk about money.

So Fish, you like the Lions today?

Will,
NEVER like an NFL side of -3 or more. Havent bet a -3 or more favorite in the NFL for at LEAST 10 years and probably more. Being a devoted Packer fan, this game scares the hell out of me and just want to get out with a win. Have really really high hopes for this team currently......so much that I like in them. They have alot of young players that are just now starting to blossom and could turn into bonafide superstars in this league. I absolutely love the progress Nick Barnett is making at Linebacker, as well as WR Walker, CB Harris, and RB Davenport.

Happy T-D (turkey day)

Patrick, did you see the poll on the GBAY/DET game? Twice as many selecting the dog to cover today.

Landerette:

I'm kinda tired to tell you the same thing time after time, but I'll do it once again: we BOOK, so the money you've been making comes from somebody else's pocket (I think BTJ's...

), we just broker the action; besides, and I hate to break it in for you like this, 2 dimes is not what I would call a lot of money...
icon_biggrin.gif

Hope you stay lucky, girl; maybe you will hit an all time high of 3 dimes in winnings...
icon_wink.gif
. You can retire then...

In all seriousness, have a great Turkey Day, brother.

Tom, blood:

I hope you have a lot of prime time turkey breast, I know you're pretty fond of tender meat...

. Have a great Thanksgiving Day.

BTW, Angelle might be down here in N'awlins, I'll see if I can get a hold of her. If I do, I'm sure we can have a couple of shots after our brother Loman.
