I've stopped running a bit. It is freezing here and I have gotten lazy. I play basketball twice a week though, and hockey twice a week. But I have dropped now to 191 lbs. Lowest I've been in 8 yrs. I do weights at home in front of my tv and I do plenty of sit ups. I'm still on the Atkins diet. I recommend this diet to all who want to lose weight. It is unbelievable the weight that comes off with this diet. In the past, I could never do this diet because of 2 things. I loved my bread, and I especially loved my chocolate bars. Well, Sick Gambler has researched his stuff, and found a store here in beautiful Montreal, Canada that sells very very low carb bread (delicious) and NO CARB chocolate, that is sweetened with a sugar substance called MALTITOL. I can eat all the bars i want and never get fat. Dream come true for me. And it tastes exactly like real bars. Only thing, each bar costs 5 bucks, but that don't stop me. I eat about 24 of them a week.

But as for the running, I miss it, and i will be back at it soon. I was down to a 6 min and 45 sec mile, and today Journey, i swear to god, I am in the best shape of my life, even better than 10 yrs ago. Yesterday at basketball, I was running up and down the court with 23 yr olds, and i was never out of breath. What a tremendous feeling, especially when just 4 months ago, I couldn't go up one flight of stairs without being out of breath..

How about you kiddo? You still running..

Nope. No running, I just don`t have the energy left to do it...my work takes up alot of physical energy, its hopeless..I am hanging in there with my workouts but overall its probably been my worst year as far as fitness goes...My big problem is joint stiffness, a couple weeks ago I took two extra strength tylenol`s and I felt 23,lol...I am concerned though as I never take any pain medicines...and those tylenol`s were like a miracle cure....

Sick I had to lol at the cost of those chocolates....I am a bit of a junk food eater myself,lol...But never had a weight problem, atleast not yet...

Good to hear you are down under 200 !

Oh my God Sick Gambler, I am crying laughing right now. I think the reason you're losing all that weight has less to do with the Atkins diet and more to do with the fact that Maltitol is a laxative. Are you sh1tting like 7 times a day? 24 BARS A WEEK? No wonder you're losing weight . . . .

Seriously though, good luck with the exercise and stuff . . .

Agnus,

I just started eating them last week, and OMG, now it makes sense. No wonder my stomach has been playing some music this whole week. Now it all makes sense. I did read up on it, and if I am not mistaken, it is not a laxative, but does make your stomach active if you eat too much of it. Geez, this is not good, because i have really been enjoying those bars. I had 4 today. I have never enjoyed such a great diet like this one here. Imagine that, eating all the chocolate i want and still lose weight. The dream i always had has turned to reality. And now i have to worry about running to the bathroom everyday..

well Agnus, I sure hope it's not Kirk Mclean, because that is not the way his name is spelled. But then again we never know with Ivan.

Kirk Maclean is not spelled that way. It is spelled Kirk McLean.. But it was a good guess mind you..

Logan, I think it is important you tell us if those E's are the only vowels or not? Don't do like Ivan and not give us all the vowels. All vowels must be mentioned, which is why I didn't get Ivan's yet. And you too must give us all vowels, not just the E's.

And pls boys, if anyone puts up a name, pls make sure it is a well known figure at least. Not a guy who played on 3 shifts in his NHL career. Knowing Ivan, this guy is probably an unknown player or he spelled his name wrong LOL.. Ivan, what ERA did he play in, the 70's, 80's, give us a hint, or put the vowels in there..

Thank you..

Sick, can't give you all the vowels as that would give it away instantly (esp to people from Flin Flon, Boston and Philly)
