'Halves' Should be allowed in TheRx Picks & Record Tracker Forum!!!

I don't think it is any more work for anyone, by much. Halves are a big part of figuring out what is going on!!!! PLEASE consider this even though I am a nobody here. I would LOVE to see anyone post halves in 'TheRx Picks and Record Tracker' forum.

If not, please give this poor plebe an explanation why not? tulsa

2nd halves certainly should NOT be included IMO.

For one, the short time interval means few will be able to take advantage of it, unless it is known in advance that a halftime play will be posted for a particular game. The purpose of the whole thing is helping people, right?

For another, the lines bounce around so much that it's easy to fudge. You could miss a number and post it as though you got it and nobody would be the wiser. Mods and others can verify approximate times, but nobody is going to check it to the nearest 5 seconds.

simple reason is this, we cannot monitor each and every 2nd half pick (when it was posted, and what time it went off) with games going off at so many times of day and halftimes have no set time, its impossible to monitor.

Perhaps those betting both 1st half & game of the same game
should only count in their record for the game, for is there not
an over 50% chance that if one wins then they both will? And
for anyone who bets both often & is successful it would make
their record look substantially better than it is in reality as
compared to others who do not do this? So would it not give
them an unfair advantage over the others?

First half should be allowed, IMO, but not H2. A poster picking H1 and game is more likely to go 2-0, or 0-2. They aren't parlayed ( not possible) so it's fair.

The real reason for 1st halves being excluded is widely available (and verafiable) 1st half lines. We are trying to make sure full game lines are accurate and widely available which in itself is time consuming. That being said it is only day two and we will always be looking for ways to improve the TF. Perhaps down the road we can have 1st half threads and other types of wagering but right now we are trying get off the ground with the forum. We would like to get some meat on the cappers records and that is going to take time. I know myself, Journeyman and the rest of the moderators and AB members working on the Forum want to make everyone happy but we need you to be patient and allow the forum to evolve into a workable situation that everyone can enjoy.

Doug thanks for the link but we are using Rx. Llive Lines only right now. I can only wish you best of luck possibly finding someone to verify your 1st half NBA bets. Hopefully in the futrue we can accomadate you.
