[h=1]Man plays poker at his own funeral[/h]
Yes, you read that headline correctly. A poker fan has not let his own demise get in the way of his regular home game.
We thought that Antonio Esfandiari's 'peegate' or the husband substituting when his wife went into labour were early contenders for weirdest story of 2016, but they both have to step aside for this one.
A growing trend in Puerto Rico is to hold wakes and funerals where the deceased is embalmed and placed into situations they enjoyed in their life. This has included reenactments in the boxing ring, playing dominoes, riding motorcycles and now, playing poker.
After his premature death of a heart attack at just 31-years-old, the family ofHenry Rosario Martinez set him up to participate in one final game of poker with his friends:

The final home game

[h=2]A celebration of life?[/h]The Eternal Light Funeral Home in Barceloneta revealed this was a new one for them, but the practice of unusual funerals in Puerto Rico is becoming more common:
It's the first time we did this here, but we take it as something normal, because they have done these things in other parts of the island.
Feel free to insert whatever appropriate poker terminology you wish to this story, including 'drawing dead', 'dead man's hand', 'dead money' and 'using your One Time'.

I've read about that funeral home before. It's in Puerto Rico and they pose the corpses in different ways to reflect who the person was in every day life.

Pretty sick. Notice most of the corpses that are standing are always poser in a corner.

Dude...,when I die just burn me up and sprinkle me in the ocean during a nice south swell. Last thing I want is people running me around dead playing cards and whatnot. pretty sure one of my boys would step in even if I didn't have final wishes documented. No weekend at bernies for DNoonan.

Probably flopped quad aces but couldn't go all-in.
