Oops, can't say Super Bowl - it's the "Big Game". Now I owe the NFL $1.29 in royalties, dammit. Need to find a bomb today to cover it.
Race 1 - #3 Special Liason (6-1) Missed the break in debut and Saez never asked her to run after that. Yet she still managed to stay with main pack until late. Will benefit from the experience and gets a nice class drop as well.
Race 2 - #4 Blessed Beast (20-1) While I think Marva (#3) will probably win this, I would not be surprised if the Beast runs well today. Has been facing the toughest fields among these and gets a positive rider switch to Zayas.
Race 3 - #8 Militarist (15-1) Its about time he got to run on the grass. Should love the surface change and should finally be fit as he makes his 3rd career start.
Race 4 - #6 Sister Gema (3-1) Looks like she'll make the lead. Fanny has been riding very well of late and I trust her to hold off the charges at what should be a decent price.
Race 5 - #7 Bajan Girl (15-1) What a great race - there's some talent in this maiden field. I landed on a long shot because, well, why not? She's got a race under her belt but it was the wrong surface and the wrong distance - I'm treating it as conditioning. Expecting her to be ignored at the window but has a real chance to compete.
Race 6 - #2 Teenage Kicks (8-1) Working steadily in prep for her 3rd career try. Looks good providing there isn't a sneaky first-timer in here.
Race 7 - #4 Take Charge Dude (6-1) The pace will be blistering and Tiger Blood is a beast, but this should be fun to watch. Wouldn't be surprised to see #6 Tenacity Zip (15-1) finish well for a piece.
Race 8 - #2 Just Kidding (7-5) Here's today's single. Should make mincemeat of the fellow Florida-breds.
Race 9 - #5 Believe Indeed (6-1) First try at GP back in December was impressive. Interesting that there are no published works since then. If the old mare is fit she can sport the late kick and run down Dance Til Dawn.
Race 10 - #7 Scars Are Cool (3-1) Scares me that Hough is 0 for 10 this meet, but that just means he's due, right? Scars is 2 for 2 at 9f including breaking his maiden against a solid Saratoga field.
Race 11 - #7 Avocado Toast (7-2) I took another look at her last effort. Missed the break from the rail post and then proceeded to circle the field from last. Impressive run - love her today.
Best of luck to all the horse players - make some money to blow on the Sup - err, Big Game!
