Hope everyone had a festive holiday season - happy new year!
Been travelling overseas for a few months but I'm back home and ready to begin enjoying the sport of kings again. Nice to see familiar faces still lingering in here.
Lets tackle South Florida on a beautiful 80 degree day.
Race 1 - #5 Shoug (8-1) Nothing wrong with Jaramillo, but Tyler is an upgrade here for a filly who should love the move to grass and was bet heavily in the failed debut.
Race 2 - #4 Big Boy Bruno (3-1) I'm hoping the money flows elsewhere and I get a decent price on the old guy. Quick turnaround gives me hope - Walder must have seen something he liked.
Race 3 - #9 Fayez (4-1) Will be gunning from the outside. The drop in class should give Saez all the edge he needs. Wire to wire.
Race 4 - #6 Bazoo (8-1) First time on dirt, big drop, and scores Irad. 8-1 is a pipe dream but its essentially a 2-horse race with Black Hope (8-5). I'll take a shot with the more generous odds.
Race 5 - #4 Hurricane Breeze (3-1) Take a look at her last effort. Would, coulda, shoulda if not for some bad racing luck. Place horse came back to win next out. She's improving with every run.
Race 6 - #1 Korczak (6-5) Navarro's only 55% when dropping off the claim, yikes. Recent Beyers tower over the competition. The only way this horse loses is if he gets struck by lightning in the starting gate. You like the odds on lightning?
Back later if I have any money left.
