Sunday funday in 80 degree Miami. A good day to watch the races.
Race 1 - #6 Dualist (10-1) This is one of those "good race, bad race" types that can't seem to put two strong efforts together. Hoping he bucks that trend today.
Race 2 - #7 Mr Atila (7-2) Has earned over $100k at GP, draws the outside and can make the lead, exits a key race.
Race 3 - #2 Noble Nebraskan (9-2) If #5 Hard Count falters (and that's a big "if"), Saez could have a natural double with this son of Noble Mission.
Race 4 - #2 Senora Roma (6-1) I don't expect to get 6-1 after that 34.3 she dropped last Wednesday. Ignore Rivelli with first timers at your own peril.
Race 5 - #4 Cat Lady Steph (7-2) I usually stay away from fillys taking on the boys, but it might be time to step outside the comfort zone. First time Lasix helps.
Race 6 - #4 Champagne Train (15-1) Looking for the bomb here, but she makes sense to me.
Race 7 - #6 Machiavelli (8-1) Been gone a long time and comes back a gelding. His only win was by DQ, today he gets to finish first.
Race 8 - #3 We Miss Suzie (7-2) The mile was too much for her, but she's back sprinting and keeps Paco. She'll be in the photo.
Race 9 - #4 Blue Chip Prospect (6-1) Another 6-1 ML that will never come to fruition. I think I've mentioned before Jairo is very comfortable riding low-level turf claimers. He adds to the appeal.
Race 10 - I can't see anything here except a 4-5 exacta.
Race 11 - #9 Bye Bye Man (12-1) I'm completely ignoring Schettino going 0 for 20 with grass debuts. I'm completely ignoring his 1 for 46 going dirt to turf. I can do that because none of those runners were Bye Bye Man. It would be a nice way to end the day.
Good luck to all the horse players!
