Guanacaste

I will be making my fourth trip to Costa Rica in January and this time will visit Guanacaste.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice hotel/resort to stay at for a couple of days in that area?

I will agree with Judge on this one. Playa Conchal is the best beach I have ever been to. There is a resort there also. I not sure of the name but if I find a link, I will post it.

Just be prepared, it felt hotter than crap when I went there in a February few years back. Coming from a modest winter in Vegas, it still felt like an oven. I guess I was more used to going to Mexico at that time of year when the weather is perfect, low 80s and not too humid. Guanacaste felt more like Miami in early summer, I was glad to get out of there after a couple of days. If heat is your thing though, you will be happy I am sure because nothing but endless and very intense sun then.

if i were you, ill not going to that shity crap province of guanacaste,,,, instead, just look around to DRAKE BAY, southern pacific, real paradise, all the north of the country is full of shit, specially guanacaste...

drake bay IS a really nice area, but I'm afraid there isn't much to do there. There are really nice hotels and resorts in Guanacaste. The Nakuti and Giardini Papagayo are not well known but are also really nice.guanacaste hotels

Conchal
Villas Playa Samara
