Hey guys:

I am starting to think the GT/OSU line is a little fishy. It seems like too many points to give. I thing Vegas wants people to take the 5 points knowing OSU will win by at least that number. Comments?

You hit the nail right on the head! They want you to take the points, hell Oak. State just went favored at Carib to WIN IT ALL! Me I'm hoping for Duke!

Fair question and no disrespect intended just a suggestion. Try not to guess why the oddsmaker sets the line where it is. My numbers show the line should be Oklahoma State between 1 and 2, thus line value lies with Georgia Tech. Doesn't mean the Yellowjackets win just means they carry the value. Cap the player and coaching match-ups and style and pace of play and let the line be what it may. Just this oldman's thoughts. Best of luck tomorrow.

Ted - what you stated I agree with but I think there are times(ie. a final four game with very active public wagering) when it can be a factor, at least for me it is. Ironically, I made a similar comment as Inspades in my analysis of this game. I will say this - by no means should a decision to play a certain side be based on what the opening line is set at alone. If you don't feel you have an edge with the matchup on the court, then making a play based on this alone is close to guessing. What is so interesting is that all of us have different styles and makes all the RX posters great resources.

Well said couldn't agree with you more. Realize we are on different sides here but I respect your reasoning. The best that we can do is cap the game as we envision and let the game be played. Hopefully, in the long run, we all can end up in the plus.
