Who cares about games that took place 6 years ago before Bridgewater or the current HC were there? The trend is really only relevant going back 2 years or so. And it is a compelling trend, indeed. But, it is also true that the Packers are currently playing poorly and the Vikings are playing well.
As a life long Vikings fan. I totally agree with you about the -3. GB was only favored by 3 at Minny only a few weeks ago and went on to win easily. Now they are at home as ONLY a 3 pt fav. I dont care what they have done or what Minny has done the last 3-5 weeks. Minnesota never beats the Packers when it matters. I honestly was thinking this line would be at least 6-6.5 therefore I think the good old boys have something up their sleeve with this one. Its one of the fishiest lines out there this year. Minnesota to da bank.
Winning the NFC North is secondary to positioning your team to make a run at the Super Bowl. Winner tonight gets Seattle next week followed by a game at Arizona. Loser gets to play Washington on the road followed by a matchup with Carolina. Now seriously, which do you think is the better path? Vegas knows this so that is why this game is a FG spread. I'm not saying the teams will not try to win the game tonight but seriously it's the intangible of playoff seeding.
NBC just said GB wins then they host Min at home again next week. If Min wins they host Sea at home and GB goes to Wash. Lots of playoff strategy in tonight's game. How much do they want to show the other team since its likely they play again next week? Neither team wants to have injuries in a game where both are already in the playoffs. Extremely hard game to cap!
