Don't play anymore...
I played a lot of golf in the mid to late 80s when I was in my mid to late 30's in Las Vegas but could never break par even at easy tracks like Craig Ranch or back then the 9 hole Boulder City course or even Jim's Colbert's Muni track . At my best was a weak 8 handicap and shot in the high 70s many times at the Old Tropicana, The Sahara, The Desert Inn, and a few times when I could get a tee time at the Las Vegas Country Club.
I never broke 80 at the old Showboat which had one of the best par threes in the country, I think it was the third hole and had a huge tree overhanging the green on the right and large trap on the left. The hole played around 210 yards or so from the back.
Back then the Panasonic Las Vegas Open used the Showboat as one of it's courses and that par three was rated as one of the toughest on the entire tour for a few years.
