Ohio State (+9) Too many points IMO as Colt McCoy will not go through this defense like he did in the BIG 12 as James Laurnatis will be the key for the Buckeyes on Defense spying on McCoy as Texas really doesnt have a strong running game and the Buckeyes must create pressure to rattle McCoy tonight to get him out of his rhythm and the Buckeys corners must stick to the Longhorn WR's tonight and make big plays.

On Offense the key for the Buckeyes tonight is can the offensive line contain Orakpo tonight and give Prior sometime in the pocket tonight because if given some I think he can pick apart the secondary of the Longhorns tonight with some passes down the field tonight and with his running abilties

Here are some things that concern me tonight as a Buckeys fan coming into this game tonight and some keys to the game;

1) The offense line must contain the line of scrimmage and keep Orakpo out of Prior's face tonight and dont be surprised of he is rolling out of the pocket tonight alot away from him and keeping the ball and doing alot of runnin tonight.

2) Can Tressel adapt to what is happening in the game tonight as the last 2 BCS games he never made adjustments in the game and they got blown out both times and must take off the conservative play calling tonight and take some shots at this Longhorn defense tonight.

3) Time off factor again comes into play but this time it should help the Buckeyes in this matchup as some players should have gotten healthy for this game tonight and I think the will show some new wrinkles with Prior tonight that they havent seen on film.

4)Can the Buckeyes defense show some pride tonight for the BIG 10 tonight as the are getting beat up nationally by everybody and can Tressel use that to their advantage like he did when the beat Miami for the National title in 2002 when nobody gave then a chamce in that game.

5) Can the Senior class led by Jenkins and Laurinatis get that sour taste out of their mouth from there last 2 ass kickings and show some pride tonight or are they counting there cash with the NFL Draft in 4 months.

I think that the Buckeyes will make this a game tonight and keep this one close and if they are in reach in the 4 QTR you just never know but somehow someway McCoy will make a big play for the Lonhorns and I think they win here 27-24 but way close than the experts think like Lee Corso likes to say.BOL to everybody tonight ! :howdy:Hello Gravy...

Your thoughts on this game were pretty much the same as mine going in, although I was more worried about Pryor than anything else, as it turned out Pryor turned in a shitty performance trying to throw the ball but did make some plays with his legs.

If "Mr Conservative" Jim Tressel had played Boeckman more under center in a traditional style offense I think the Buckeyes could have made some huge plays in the passing game, it was disheartening to see Pryor miss those two open recievers that were clearly open with a straight path to the endzone...

...Tressel is just another example of the failed idiotology that its better to have a running back/wide reciever play the position of QB rather than having a true passer at the position.

Ohhhh well, great job at calling it a 3 point game on your part...personally I played the game small with $200 on Ohio State +9 and a $100 parlay on Ohio State +9 and UNDER 52.5.

Take care and be well my friend

Sorry Gravy, missed your thread! I guess i would've played Texas regardless, but you were oh so close! You're right about Tressel's playcalling. Almost as predictable as Stoops'. Even after tonight's championship, I feel Bradford was the right call for Heisman. Colt McCoy was terrible in Fiesta, and Tebow was mediocre tonight. Bradford was the victim of bad pass catching, poor play calling, and an amped FLA "D".
