Gotta Love Movies in CR

Last time I was in Mall San Pedro (1 week ago) I saw a sign in front of the movie theatre for "2 For the Money" coming on June 9th (I believe it said June 9th). Amazing... since the DVD has been out for 4 months LOL!

I can't wait until they have "Video on Demand" where you can download a video that "expires" after a certain amount of days and watch it from the comfort of your home, rather than wait 5 months until it comes to the Mall San Pedro movie theatre.

I wonder when Costa Rica will get Da Vinci Code? Maybe December? :smoking:LOL!

Do you guys have Mission Impossible 3 yet? That movie kicked ass!! I think it depends on the movie because when I was there X-Men 2 was out before it was in the states.

Oh! I know what you are talking about... those US movies you can buy in Bolivia for like 50 cents and then you start watching it and someone stands up in the theatre?! LOL! I think that is why they cost 50 cents. ja ja!

mission impossible 3 opened up here the same day it did in the states.

da vinci code comes out here this month i think. costa rica is pretty timely on the anticipated blockbusters. it's the other movies that take freakin forever to get here. you'll notice that sometimes, a movie here hits the theatres the same time as the DVD release in the states. i used to wonder if maybe they're just acquiring the DVD and playing it in their theatres. i guess anything is possible ...

True on blockbusters playing on theatres in CR same as in USA. Da Vinci playing this coming Friday. As for non-blockbusters, there was this one great movie, "Night Watch" which i was dying to watch, saw the poster on the wall at Cinemark and got all excited and a month later they hadn't played it and brought the poster down....big big bummer...anyone watch it let me know how it was? Getting the DVD on june on its release i guess...

Mall San Pedros movie theatres are the worst ever. Love Cinemark, have the best pop corn!

I saw the preview for DaVinci in the theater this weekend and they made a big deal about "Coming worldwide on May 19th". Good point though about what comes out on time. Action/adventure movies are universal, but dramas might be tough to sell to foreign audiences when they are based on something very American like sports touts.
