Still a very young team, and he walked into a complete knockdown project. I think he has more time, given what I hear from my UT booster colleagues, but we will see.

Texas will NOT hesitate to fire him if they feel they can get Tom Herman.

Tom Herman would take the Texas job over LSU or any other teams trying to get him.

Texas will probably lose at least 3 of these remaining games..

His time is up.

I`ll tell you who is a great coach.

That guy who took over at Washington from Boise St.

Now that`s a coach.

Peterson is good, but has never had to running the guantlet from a scheduling standpoint. That win over a grossly over-rated Stanford team will likely be the only ranked team they play all year, out of conference was a joke.

He put Washington on the map.....Regardless they are ranked #9.

From Boise to Washington.....He wins no matter where he goes.

Charlie Strong is a loser.....Sorry to say.

I am no Strong apologist, just felt he was walking into a complete rebuild. Dont care if he keeps his job, just telling you that word from insiders is he has more time.

Boys I was just thinking the same thing. Charlie is supposes to be a defensive guy yet his defenses seem to have gotten worse each of his years. At some point, you got to see some improvement and to date, their best win is a double OT win over a bad ND team that can't stop anyone defensively. At this point, UT may give up the most points in the history of the longhorn program. Maybe he fires his DC, but he was supposed to have more hands on already.

As for Tom Herman, if given the option of UT or LSU, easier to win at UT the way the conferences are setup. They'd probably be able to pay more money as well.

Would that be a palatable choice in a liberal city like Austin? Would take some serious balls to introduce him.
No. Even before Strong was hired, the alums at UT would NEVER hire a Baylor coach. Which is why they never even looked at him when Mack was let go. But I could see them look at a guy like D'Antonio, Herman, or make a run at Mora. I could see Todd Graham wanting to be in the mix as well although he's quietly lobbying for the baylor job

What makes this even worse if UT was coming off a BYE week. So they had time to prep and rest, while Ok St was battling Pitt and Baylor the last 2 weeks. Hard fought games that went down to the wire.

[h=1]Texas AD Mike Perrin: 'We need to evaluate' loss to Oklahoma State[/h]3:55 PM CT

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Texas athletic director Mike Perrin says he would be evaluating "all facets" of the football program following Saturday's 49-31 loss atOklahoma State.
Perrin reportedly told Orangebloods.com, when asked about coach Charlie Strong's future, that "We need to evaluate what happened here."
[h=1]EDITOR'S PICKS[/h]
Pressed by ESPN to expound on his comment, Perrin said, "I'm not evaluating Charlie, per se. I'm evaluating everything."
After starting the season 2-0, the Longhorns have lost two straight -- to Cal and Oklahoma State -- giving up 99 total points in the two losses.
Texas also had three extra points blocked Saturday, one of which the Cowboys returned for a two-point conversion.
The Longhorns face rival Oklahoma in Dallas next weekend.

Charlie should have stayed-on the Salt Peter regimen (Potassium Nitrate). The women got to him again.
