Unbelievable, the Warriors score 2 points in the 4th quarter, yet still lead the game by 1 in OT. Where, as I type, they have scored 5 points to 4 for the Raptors.

That is UNFVCKINGBELIEVABLE! 18-2 in the 4th to force OT??? The entire Warriors team and staff should voluntarily forgo pay for a week. That is sick.

ok you have a 16 point lead going to the 4th quarter. you hold your opponent to 18 4th quarter points. so 3 points is all you need for the whole quarter to win the game. but you can not get it and you lose the game. sorry fans, thanks for coming drive home safely.

Nope, not a new record. Ties the Dallas Mavs...they scored 2 points in a Qtr against the Lakers...late 1990s.....

FWIW - you are both right. Golden State recorded the lowest-scoring fourth quarter in league history and tied the lowest-scoring period set by the Dallas Mavericks on April 6, 1997.

The Warriors made just 1-of-13 shots, missed all three of their free throws and committed nine turnovers as Toronto rallied from a 16-point deficit.

Golden State's only basket in the fourth was a layup by ErickDampier with 9:43 remaining. The Warriors did not score again until Clifford Robinson made a turnaround jumper 40 seconds into the extra period.

FWIW, I refuse to acknowledge any NBA record that is specified by quarter. Shouldn't matter if it is the 2nd or 4th quarter. All quarters are created equal!

Imagine if baseball did it.

"Giambi drills the ball to right-field, good-bye! What a blast, Mary Poppins couldn't have caught that ball! And that's Giambi's second homer of the inning, so he'll tie the major-league record for most homers in the bottom-half of a fourth inning."

OK Funk - I did a little research, this is a link to MOST points scored in a game by an individual player. Notice it gives the record for entire game, for an entire half, for a single period, and for an overtime.

Single Game Points

Show me a book (that pays and) that has the same line & total on every quarter of a game and (while becoming wealthy) I'll buy your argument.

2 pts in a quarter in the NBA is incomprehensible. How could professional athletes be this inept? they deserve something for this. Some type of award.
