One of their players pulls a Miles, LOL. It'll be another wrap, actually, hope Grant steps up to the plate, that'd make it guaranteed, LOL.

T, anyone that didn't think that comment gave Kentucky a little extra incentive is crazy. Not sure they needed it but it obviously wasn't a smart move. As far as Notre Dame, I think they have a chance because of their potential to shoot the perimeter shot. Plus, the public will pound Kentucky after tonight.

KY wins..ND covers.

Ball movement by ND will keep them within the spread.
Size and talent will give Uk the win.

Jake, I've been there, done that...in Foots. You want to diss me, I'm coming after you with everything I got, I'm not shitting. I played in the SEC, best Conference in the NCAA, so I have a little biased opinion. It is what it is.

That comment meant nothing.

West Virginia can't shoot, and pressing Kentucky plays right into their hands. They have superior athletes, and the press doesn't bother them. Poor shooting team + no transition buckets off turnovers = Blowout. It would have happened if the kid said nothing.

To have any kind of chance, teams need to slow the pace and grind the clock. Limit possessions, and hit open jumpers and 3's. Pound the offensive glass and get put backs or draw fouls. Cincinnati did this, and stayed close for awhile but just didn't have the talent to compete.

Kentucky average margin of victory this season: 21.2 points

get ready for two days of hearing a lot about how Notre Dame can beat Kentucky, just like you heard West Virginia could beat Kentucky.

Then the game will start.

Absolutly agree with Biz comment except Notre Dame is so efficient with their offense it does them no good alter the pace. Lacking the size to matchup with the Kentucky big men they are going to have to score, get back on D, pack the box and and hope Kentucky is a little more off than usual from outside the paint. Like the +11.5 and gonna grab some +645 ML thinking ND has a legitimate shot. Go Irish!!!

The outcome would have probably been the same but if WV had any chance of catching Kentucky over looking them it got thrown out the window with that comment. Don't act like Kentucky has beaten and covered the spread comfortably every game. If you think that comment didn't get their attention then you haven't ever played sports.

LMFAO!!! Doc, the Dores went to a bowl game.....the year after I graduated, LOL I'll say this, we went into Tuscaloosa and damn near beat Bama on my watch, final was 23-24, so we had some game at times, just not a lot of them, lol.

Played plenty.

They couldn't care less what some scrub said in a press conference. So they came out with extra super powers over a comment??? You keep believing that.

Overlook a team in the Sweet 16? Right. This isn't Jan 12, it's the National Tournament. Not some scrub 16 seed, but 4 games from the title. They aren't overlooking any team. Period.

The comment had Zero effect on the outcome.

If they get in a track meet, they have no shot.

Yes, press the pace when you can and get some easier buckets. When you are outmanned, especially for a team that lacks depth, you want to shorten the game.

I'm not sure I believe that Biz, you ever heard of "board" material. KY was beating....no, beat the Neers like stepchilds, and that's rarely been their MO. I'd bet damn good money that Calp put that article up on the board for all to read and said, they don't respect us. And in accordance, they got their mountain asses handed to them. It's my opinion, everyone has one.

Its possible T.

But that game had the makings of an ass whipping without Miles mouthing off. Sure, it may have ticked them off a bit. But terrible matchup for WV.

Hell, everyone is a terrible match-up for the Cats, LOL. I've said or stated it for a long time, no one beats these guys, there's too many of them. What I can't figure out is how he does it. Coach K is a much better coach to play for, hands down, but Calp comes up with these one-and-done teams that are unbeatable. I just remember beating their asses in the 2012 SEC Tourney final, made me cry.

Totally agree ... blackboard material is total b.s. Kentucky, could play W. Virginia ten times and the outcome would be the same. Either you have the talent or you don't ... I haven't seen one team in this tournament who can play with Kentucky for 40 minutes.

^ Coach K is getting more involved with the one and done players, I think it is Calipari was "first" and comes across as a players first coach. That has given him the advantage.

While Cal is probably not the best X and O's coach, he is probably the best at getting players to sacrifice and buy into the team atmosphere.

Ya gotta admit, no coach has ever pulled off what he's done this season, plain and simple. But Wooden is rolling in is grave, lol. Coach K does not recruit players that he believes won't last, but that's a hard sell, the NBA takes them one year out, so whattya gonna do? I'm certain the coaches pull their hair out knowing they're gonna lose top players after the first year, so I think, and I believe I read that the NCAA is taking a look at this. It's all about the money, pay the players for God's sake and they'll hang around.
