Goal Scoring

The NHL's 30 general managers are in Florida for their annual meetings. One
subject surely to be discussed is how to increase scoring league wide. One
suggestion that has been made is to reduce goalie equipment size to help produce
more goals.

I realize I am in the minority, but I had rather see a low scoring, hard hitting
game rather than a lot of goals with no checking. If I want to see figure skating
with hockey sticks...............

What do you think about down sizing goalie equipment in hopes of more goals?

To me, the situation room/coaches challenge has taken away a lot of the enjoyment away from watching the game when I have $$$ on it. I've gotta hold my breath on seemingly every goal

Haystacks, if I were a player I would want some protection for my head
simply because the ice and puck can do a lot of serious damage.

Wood sticks I could go for........
..........they don't use aluminum bats in MLB.

They talk about this every year but nothing changes. I have no problem with them cutting down the size of the goaltender equipment if they go back to using wooden sticks. Why should the players have better tech to shoot with and the goaltenders be made to use the same equipment from 30 years ago.

One of my best gambling friends who can't stand hockey says the same thing. "Want
goals, make the frecken net larger."

I actually like the game the way it is but would like to see more physical play. Take
the hitting, occasional fight out of hockey and I'll go to fucken soccer with the kids.

Took me awhile but watching 6 to 12 year old kids is fun...especially if they are from
your family. High school and college...give me a good bowling tournament.
