Many successful politicos are/were political whores, that doesn't erase their accomplishments. If Hillary governs in a way that largely represents the will of the people than she is fulfilling her oath to the country and her oath to her own personal political success. If the two are intertwined, then bully for her. I agree that Hillary is despised, but I do not believe she will be more despised than Bush was in 2004, and he won. You have to have a candidate to vote for, it's not good enough to just hate the other guy/gal. If the Repubs don't come up with a winner, I believe Hillary can win.
Regarding Condi, like you I agree she should be admired for her accomplishments. And where there is disagreement over her beliefs they should be debated or derided. Those folks who call her names are not serious, and are not to be taken seriously.
