Slim ...

Almost all of the Poker Web Sites have a "play money" section.

you can learn a little on the Play Money sections of all the major sites (even Yahoo now)

but remember the strategy is a bit different when money is involved. Guys will chase everything when its a Bonus Play. When money is involved only half the idiots will chase but they get knocked out in the first 20 minutes. Never ceases to amaze me as guys will go ALL IN with Q8 and other random cards. Although it is nice sometimes to take their chips before the play gets a bit more conventional.

You will never learn a thing on a Bonus Play site. Maybe understand the order of action and get a little more comfortable with the play, but nothing strategic. Most learning has to be paid for at least a little. Paid learning, as in a book or software program, is FAR cheaper than trying to learn while you play for real money.

I learned how to play at 215 dollar buy in tourneys at party poker. Great way to learn. I like tourneys better though. No better way to learn than to play the higher end side available. You can win some in the "learning" process and you do truly learn that way.

If you play extremely tight, or at least as close to you would for real money on a play money site, you should dominate in the long run.

You can sit out the first couple rounds of blinds and half the field is gone in SnGs.
