Give a good reason why I shouldn't go big on Margarito?

Obviously the price sucks and the corruption in boxing is still every present (watch Berto vs Collazo if you don't believe me. Gil Clancey giving the fight to Berto by 5 points is 10 times worse than the no call delay of game on Baltimore vs Tenn. Problem is ESPN doesn't care about boxing so you won't hear about it) so these two factors have me thinking twice.

Now betting it on a technical standpoint I really don't see how a semi punch drunk Mosley who hasn't knocked anybody out worth mentioning since his lightweight days has a shot of outpointing a busier, longer, and stronger opponent. Antonio length is eerily similar to Vernon Forrest who completely dominated the much smaller Shane. While Antonio style is different than Vernon being that hes a relentless fighter not a boxer I still have to like him wearing down Shane.

My only concern is the quicker Shane getting punches in before Antonio does. He possesses the talent to land and get out before Antonio shots reach target.

Will Margartio use his length?

I rarely watch boxing (maybe 6 fights a year) hence the thread.

Thank you before hand.

What you want to do is take the prop on the Lederman card of Mosley ahead after 3 rounds +1.5 points. Line isn't out yet; should be -175. Personally I won't bet -500 on water being wet, so you might be able to capitalize this way. Only major risk is a flash knockdown which would cause a 10-8 round. All Mosley has to do is win 1 round of the first 3, as the 10 point must system could look like Margarito 10-10-9=29 points; Mosley 9-9-10+1.5=29.5 points, a winner. Mosley could win more than 1 round of the first 3 also. GL.

your right no value in betting -445 (5D) and maybe some prop bets as the one you mentioned is the best avenue to take. Still think Mosley has no shot, I really don't

Agree; if we get the USUAL Margarito; relentless and a chin of granite, he wins. I already have AM in a 4 play parlay, the prior having all won. I just may add him to another. Mosley has some difficulty with taller/longer reach guys, especially one that has very sturdy whiskers.

haha I also have four seperate parlays needing a Margarito win. Mosley can only win by out pointing him and I simply don't see it happening. Hope we cash :103631605

margarito is a brawler, with mosley slowing down and getting older i agree with voice of reason. mosleys only chance is to last and hope for the decision in his favor.

margarito already gots a big ppv match comeing up with cotto rematch , so this figth isnt a must win for him and hbo/gbp are the ones doing most of the promotions here, i got a bad feeling the judges are going to keep this one real close.

I've been following Shane since I was little and hes been my favorite boxer ever so to be honest I don't mind losing a little change to this dominant performance. His hands speed and savvy was the difference. Hes simply one of the most skilled fighters in the last 15 years. Who's more skilled? Boring Floyd or Defensive B Hop? haha

For people to stop with the fight is fixed crap there would have to be no upsets.

It is human nature, not every favorite will win, they are not robots.
