Heading down to the Rutgers game early in the day so won't be around much but here are two I like for tomorrow.

UCLA +5.5---2 Units
Defense and good guard play should keep it close, I like UCLA for the win anyway.
Oklahoma -8---2 Units
USC is not good this year in my mind and I don't think Gibson can handle what Griffin is bringing to the table. USC not all that deep this year and Griffin is a master of drawing fouls.

:toast:

Oh yea and UNC deserves one of these...

Texas UCLA seems like such a toss up to me I am very scared. I may stay away from UCLA but I like the OK play.

What you think about UCONN -15, UCONN has had some big wins already this year seems like my big play.

What's the total on UCLA, could be a close defensive grinder. I'm with you Gimmie, I like UCLA to win straight up. Texas wasn't that impressive from what I've seen and we got a better backcourt than them this year.
If Howland frees up Jrue Holliday and lets him run the show and create for himself and others then UCLA can runaway with this game.

The thing with this game is that we all know UCLA can lock up any team defensivley. People were turned off by thier loss to Michgan earlier, I just feel like it was one of those wrong place, wrong time games. Sometimes everything can't go your way and I mean Michigan really did play way above their head.

The thing that decides this game is that #1 I think this game is played in the low 60's. I think the better team is UCLA. If you are going to give me 5.5 points to the better team in a defensive game I am going to take it every time. I feel like the thing the motor that makes Texas go is AJ Abrams and he draws a real bad matchup both on offense and defense with. Not to mention Texas doesn't have a point guard that has showed the ability to control the floor and create points. Collison is an experienced floor general and will run the show for UCLA.

Overall I just can't see UCLA going down in this one by more then six. Hell, I don't think UCLA loses at all.

I did look deep into this game, 1st half game everything and I do like UCONN. However, I decided not to play it for a few reasons. I'll start basic with the fact I have never even followed on gamecast a Buffalo basketball game and I tend to not bet teams that I have not seen play or heard about or studied. Also UConn has played close in a couple games this year only to pull away at the end. With a spread of 15 I don't know how long they can sit on a seven point lead.

Also I looked at the last time they played at home vs a ranked opponent and it was in 06 they lost 70-67 against #2 Pitttsburgh. Just don't know enough about the opponent to lay 15 on the road.

The total came to mind immediatley for me. I can tell you that I will try to make it online when the number is released to let you know about a play but most likely we are looking at:

Any number over 135= UNDER
Any number under 117=OVER

However I feel like the books lay 125 or something similar.

I like what you said and I'm liking UCLA too, but I think Texas's PG Mason is underrated and Damion James is a matchup nightmare. The tall 3 guard who can post, dribble drive and shoot is my favorite thing in college basketball to watch.

I really like Texas come tourney time though, once they get the kinks in the lineup out and the offense flows better they will be dangerous.

I honestly wasn't impressed with Mason. He doesn't seem like the PG of a top 10 team. However James is a beast, if I remember correctly he dropped 20 on UCLA last year. He will be on the UCLA radar but I still think this game is won in the backcourt.

I like Texas vs most teams. They will will you if you can't defend the front court. They are still getting used to whoever is running the point whether it be Abrams, Mason, or whoever. They will gel and become a very dangerous team as the season goes on. Lots of depth here as well.
