I usually play small in week one. In the new age NFL nothing is for sure from year to year. Remember to keep it small and do your research with your eyes. Having said that i will have small bets on the following games.

Titans-3
Vikings+5.5-105
Chargers+5.5-105
Bears+7
Ravens+5-105
Patriots pick
Eagles-2.5-120
Jacksonville+4

I haven't put the money down yet as i believe some of the lines can move in my favor. Good luck everyone.

I never put much stock into the preseason but i will have to make an exception on the Raiders this time. They proved to me that they are nothing more than a old team with no depth. That is a bad combination. I see them getting off to a slow start recovering just enough to squeak into the playoffs, only to be bounced early.

come on dude that's what everyone said last year. Their defense looks like it will be better, Terrence Shaw won't be playing as much, Buchanon is back from injury and will be alongside Woodson so watch out, they might keep McNair on tap. The defense is going to have to step up while the offense tries to find it's groove. I like the under. Don't forget that Charlie Garner didn't play all preseason as well. Good luck to you.

ok it doesn't sound liike the raiders are all that confident in Buchanon's health, so I'm not sure about that under...

watching the Raiders 2002 yearbook on ESPN2 has got me pumped, they're running these all day. I forgot they started out 4-0 and then hit a 0-4 slump. F*ck it, the Raiders are going to kick the Titans ass! They beat them 3 times last year, why can't they do it again? Sorry I turned your thread into a
Raiders propaganda tool, hahah.

Hey you may be right but from what i see the Raiders didn't play their regulars much and the backups had their asses handed to them by the fvcking Cowboys.

The Raiders remind me of the 92 Redskins. They both are old teams coming off super bowls albeit the Redskins won it all. They both played terrible in the preseason. The Redskins got off to a bad start only to recover and sneak into the playoffs.

I don't think the Raiders will be able to just turn it on after not even playing their regulars in the preseason. Also look for the end of Tim Brown that guy is done. Not complete bad news as Jerry Porter looks really good. You know what they say opinions are like assholes everyone has one. We'll find out sunday.

Hey I'm just trying to have a positive outlook... after watching the highlights of the Raiders 2002 season it's hard to believe they are going to look anywhere near as bad as they did in the preseason. The Titans are probably the smartest bet, though, they looked great in pre. Gruden taught the Bucs D everything they needed to know about the Raiders offense, which doesn't reflect very well on Callahan. He has yet to prove that he can be a winner with Gruden gone, really he was just a stand-in running Grudens system all year. You'd think he could have come up with SOMETHING different for the Superbowl. I hope Gruden's influence hasn't run out and they're heading back towards mediocrity.... But it's hard to bet against Gannon, Rice, Porter, Garner, Woodson, Woodson, Romo, etc...
Yeah I agree I doubt the 1st half will be pretty, but by the 2nd half I hope they get their shit together, they were the #1 offense last year it shouldn't be to hard to get back in the zone.

Re-cap for sunday 09-07-03

4-4

Play for monday 09-08-03

Eagles-2.5-120

I actually bet that today at 2.5-110

Hit the top two picks of the day but had some real stinkers. But it's good to win the close ones and lose the blowouts, it's usually the other way around.

Thanks MFG-lol. The Titans were my big pick of the day and that punter bailed me out big time. I came out on the plus side slightly.

I thought for sure the punter would miss every field goal attempt, lol, little did I know that punk was a fg kicker as well.
