I write this weeks Giddy up with a empty stomach, After last weeks performance, that's the reason for the empty stomach. So this weeks selections is really important to the fight against Snap's Anorexia nervosa. and nobody wants Anorexia nervosa going into the Breeders Cup weekend. OK let's go Keenland.
Race 6 - #4 Owen Almighty. I just don't trust #3 Barnes and I cant take the price of the #5 Captain Cook. It does smell like Baffert is cooking up something in this race and I will keep an eye on the market, but I will take the #4.
Race 7 - #5 Hot Gossip. A race for 2YOs were most horses are running for the first time. The #8 Solemn Vow has a few runs under the belt but still has to find 1st place. Ward will have his 2 Y O runner ready for Keenland as he always does #4 Glow Of A Rose. I will stick to a horse that has being recording good times on the clock and Irad takes the ride.
Race 8 - #6 Green Light. I can pick hole in most of these horse's and this is really a dart in the paper type of play. He has won 3 times at 1m on good ground. Finished 8l behind Quatrocento when 6th of 11 at 11-2 LTO at Kentucky Downs over 1m (good) last month. Capable but facing a tougher field, So I'm hoping that he can beat this field.
Race 9 - Om N Joy. This race is all about the #9 Ragtime. It will be hot fav and could win this race easy. The #2 Vixen could turn up at a price. But I went with the #5 Om N Joy. Winner of 5 races from 6f to 1m. A winner at 4-1 in the Group 3 Torrey Pines Stakes - Grade 3 at Del Mar over 1m LTO in August, beating So There She Was by 1/2l. And the fact that Kent Desormeaux travels to Keenland to take the ride is saying something, whether its good enough to beat the likes of Ragtime or Vixen I don't know, but I'm getting 15/1ish to find out I'm taking it.
Race 10 - #1 Patron Silver. Another 2YO race and a tough one to figure, but I'm going with Kenny McPeeks runner. but it is another throw of the dart.
That's it for me Today, Best of Luck with whoever you go with today.
