When the Giants take on the Reds today they will be facing Josh Hall (no record). Hall will be recalled from Double-A Chattanooga to make his major league debut. The 22-year-old right-hander is 33-30 with a 3.61 ERA in 92 career minor league appearances but has never pitched above Double-A. He is 6-8 with a 3.20 ERA with one complete game in 20 starts at Chattanooga this season. His last appearence was on July 28th against Huntsville in relief he went 4.1 innings giving up 5 hits, 6 runs, and 2 homers, while taking the loss on his home field. Today he faces the San Francisco Giants who are in need of a win and should have their A squad on the field.

The rookie gave up a homer to Barry Bonds in his first at bat. Of course he is not the only guy in that club.
