an email from some 75ish friends in LV. Kind of why , I want to die before I'm 75.

<style></style>Hi Angela & Doug,
I'm not sure when Angela called to say hello. Our answering machine is in Joe's office so I seldom go in there to check the messages. I just hit upon it yesterday.
We're both okay. Joe had to fix the toilet the other day as it was leaking. As he was putting in new rings the toilet fell over and broke into pieces. So he had to go back to Lowes to buy a new toilet. He said it would have been cheaper to call a plumber.
I don't know if I told you that Joe also had to get hearing aids. He doesn't say much about them so I assume they are helping him. I think I'm the next candidate for hearing aids also.
We went out to dinner with friends on Thrs. night & today we did a walk with our club from 8:00 to 9:00 & then we up to the library where Joe's investment club meets. They meet from 10:00 to 1:00 pm. Nobody was too cheerful after the big crash.
I haven't been feeling good the last few days. Have a bladder infection I guess as I keep running to the bathroom. I'm hoping it clears up & I don't have to go to the doctor, but I usually end up having to go.
Our pool was closed at the gym & it just opened up so water aerobic classes are starting up again on Monday. We hope to get back to that.
We visited our friends last Sat. & took over some pizzas. The husband had a stroke last Dec. & now he wants to apply for VA benefits. On Sun. Joe spent a couple hours on the computer with them on the phone & he filled out the forms. Then we had to run the forms to their house as they needed signed. We also have a friend who just got released from the hospital after a colon cancer operation. We've been visiting our shut-in friends & helping them out.
Nothing else new. Hope all is well with you.
Kathy

I saw them less than two months ago, now the hearing loss of Joe makes some sense. He kind of sometimes didn't respond to me.... he didn't hear me !
I love this guy Joe, he's like a second father to me. I lived with him for 5 years ( as a renter of a room) from 1990-5.
