Hey everyone. Been on a health kick here lately. Has anyone done the TRX bands stuff? If so, good results? I just ordered it, looks pretty good. I believe in using your own body weight, hell, look at gymnasts! They rarely use weights, they just use their bodyweight and most are ripped as fuck.

I hired a chef so been eating really healthy this past month. Crazy, how much weight I been dropping just by eating healthy with 0 exercise. Cant imagine once I start exercising as well! Just was curious what some others have did or do and if they used the TRX stuff....Thanks

Glad to hear. Gold in, gold out. Everything starts with your diet. I shed 30 pounds with 0 exercise just by going vegan. I know most people automatically think they can't do it or say they just don't want to stop eating meat/dairy. I get it, was once that person. In actuality, it's quite simple. Best decision I've ever made in my life. I'm getting ready to start back up my exercise regimen. Like you said though, with calisthenics. Good luck on your journey. Peace and light.

Not a fan of body weight lifting.
You really need progressive overload. Constantly introducing new weight challenge your body's and force it to grow muscle

Hey everyone, thanks for the responses!

I hired a chef, a lady and her assistant who lives about 30 minutes from me. She has been a chef for like 25+ years. So, she makes the wife and I a weekly menu, 2 weeks in advance. So, she comes to our house, cooks literally for like 8-9 hours, I bought a new freezer for this and she wraps, labels everything, and freezes stuff. Then, she takes the fresh stuff, veggies for salads, homemade dressing, keeps that in the fridge.

Its really not that expensive. Its 400/every 2 weeks or around 800 a month plus the cost of food which us about another 300. I will post a pic when I get a chance of my last few menus so you can see.

A sample one I just had last night was a balsamic beef tenderloin with brussell sprouts that have a balsamic glaze. I never ate a brussell sprout in my life before this, they are fucking amazing!
Same with mashed "califlower" with scallions! I never had that in my life, I would eat them every single fucking day!!! Better than regular mashed tatos!!!!

So, if you think about what we spent eating on on pizza, fine dining, etc. We are breaking even or ahead of the game but now eating healthier shit!

I feel great and I really havent exercised yet! Once I start that, I think the extra weight will fall right off...
I hit 40 not to long ago, do my annual physical, blood work, etc. My BP went up, my sugar went up, my cholesterol went up! I was like wtf! Doc was like Ill give you 3 months to work on this or its med time. I was scared like a little bitch! I had to and did make a change...

40, im still young, and the money I have been making, I want to be around to enjoy this shit!

I will say in 2016, I had made roughly 175k so far, strictly sports and some gambling at baccarat (my game of choice). I play 2k minimum a game and as high as laying 20-25k on a big game.....Some can be verified by people from this board who have been here a long time and who are very well respected. I dont have time to bs or tell stories. I have been in vegas 3x in the past 2 months, Just booked for dec 12-17th to go back....Life is well right now, very well. But, if I dont have my health, wtf good is anything right?

Steve jobs was a billionaire, he couldnt help his problem.....So, i didnt come here to talk about me gambling or how much I make, thats irrelevant! I was going to hire a personal trainer but I dont want to do everything at once and hir burnout! Im now about 80lbs from the BMI ideal body weight chart! I am almost 6'4, a big guy (like a big fb player with a gut (300lbs).....

Once I start exercising, 220 should come fast.....

I will update and take some pics once I get this TRX shit setup in the basement, seems quite easy!

When I went to the gym I didnt know what the fuck I was doing...I was doing benches squats treadmill ....whatever.
At least at crossfit youre with a group and an instructor . If you are doing things wrong they will correct you so you wont throw your back out. You can write down what youre doing . Start off slow...progress as you get stronger more confident....or even regress if youre not feeling it that day.
At least youre part of a program and as far as results , I def saw a change in me in only 8 weeks and I wasnt even hitting it that hard.
Now im not promoting anything here ...but I think the average person needs to be part of a program....until it becomes routine enough to become a lifestyle.

Crossfit is not perfect but a better option then the one you plan on doing on the OP.

Is this hired chef thing a local thing or is it a nationwide thing?

I would be more then willing to pay someone 400 a month to cook for me when I'm home

Fat fucks, lol. No one's made fun of anyone. Maybe I should type that in bold so I feel better about myself.

BMI is absolute BS, but I'm not making fun of him for going by it, just stating the fact it is. 80
lbs is great, the next 80 will be tougher. Lay him out a plan BIG GUY...

Where do you get your protein

I get asked this question all the time. You don’t need as much protein as most people think, and it’s easy to get what you do need from beans, nuts, seeds, grains, soy, and even greens. I feel my absorption of those amino acids are more balanced than those who eat other animals. Chop you should give it a shot.
