Welcome one, welcome all...I go by the name Rich Roid and I pick winners...period. I live in Ann Arbor and work very little...people wonder how I continue to live a lavish lifestyle, and although I don't profess it among my companions in Ann Arbor, I make a shit-ton of money wagering on sports. I just seem to have a knack for it, I follow all sports and used to play professional football in the CFL, so I feel like I have a good feeling for team's mindsets and states of mind, this is what gives me a slight edge. I am a gambler at heart as well and not afraid to pick the play which nobody else believes in. A close friend of mine who I tell my picks to turned me on to this website, and I would love to help many of you win money this year. It's nice to be able to tell people about my winnings, because I simply don't want the gambler reputation amongst my acquantainces in Michigan.

I have been on a nice hot streak of late, lets hope it continues. I plan to post all my plays (NFL, NCAAFB, MLB, anything else that strikes my fancy) in this thread. Is that okay? I know there are separate places for different sports, but I figured this would be easier to keep track of my record.

On with the picks, I will keep a running tally, I'm sure in a week or two people will be checking these picks out on the reg.

First off welcome to the forum! Good luck to you this year, I'll check your threads to see how you do. Just to let you know you did post mlb plays in the nfl forum but that's ok. Do you think we cover 24 against E. Michigan? I really hate betting on any Michigan game no matter what side or total it is.

I forgot add I'm a die hard Michigan fan. My first bet ever was in Vegas and I put $200 on Michigan -dd to someone and I lost so since than I've never beat on a side with them again. I have done a few totals over the years and have had success with those when I do choose to. But I try to stay away for the game entirely.

Twins are still in the central race, and Blackburnalmost always gives them a chance to win. Expected this line to be closer to -180 so I like the value a lot.

I know I've only posted baseball in the NFL forum so far, but I just wanted to consolidate all my picks to make it easier on my self/ anyone who wanted to follow my picks. That being said, I feel like NFL is my best sport capping wise. Here is a bet I'd like to get in early.

Cowboys -3 (EVEN) 8 units to win 8 units : Feel like juice goes up on this, and I don't see the line dropping below 3. I just don't believe in the Giants receivers yet, and I think the Cowboys front seven on defense matches up nicely against this average at best Giants O-line. If there is one thing Romo handles well, it is pressure from the ends, look for him to make some really exciting plays, and for Dallas to win this home opener in the new stadium where the crowd and team ought to be hyped. Giants coming off a division win. Just a great spot for the Cowboys here.

Also...

Miami/Ga Tech UNDER 54 5.5 units to win 5 units : Randy Shannon takes pride in his defense more than anything, and Miami has the athletes on that side of the ball to be a great defense. Last week was a shootout, but that seems to always just be an anomaly with that FSU game. I also don't see Jacory Harris doing the same thing against a really physical and non-stop motoring GT D-Line. I look for this game to go under the 54 which I think is a little inflated.
